. Objective I have decided to send in an application for moderator, as I believe there is something that I can contribute if promoted. I will overview any skills I have, whether they are subjective or objective, and explain why I believe Id make a useful moderator for Powerbot. Why is my University GPA much lower than my High School GPA? From the beginning of college through Sophomore year, I was plunged into a deep depression. I had little motivation to do any school work, and spent most of my time at the computer in my apartment. After Sophomore year, I was diagnosed with ADD and am being treated with proper medication. For a whole year now, I have been able to operate at the same work ethic I possessed in High School. People in my major look up to me, and one of my friends has even said that I motivate him to do better. Another student even offered to pay me for tutoring this semester in IE405: Linear Programming; I tutored her, however I refused to accept payment.

Moderating experience I have not had too much moderating experience in the past, however I have had some. I was an off-topic moderator for rs2cheatz.net (formerly rs2cheating.us, later merged with rsunderground), owned by the user Impulse, who I believe was one of, if not both, the Snellman brothers. I also moderated some lesser known Runescape private server forums, as well as other general forums which were created by friends. I am a quick and efficient learner, so regardless, I would not have any trouble adjusting to moderating a site like Powerbot. About Me Over time, my job and my school work has required me to work with people. Often, these people need excessive explanation in order to understand a specific topic. For example, I have held review sessions for classes in the past year upon request, and I have had to facilitate processes in order to allow other people to understand. I understand people and how they think, and I am an excellent judge of character. By communicating with someone, I often can decipher a way in which to best explain

an aspect in terms that enables him or her to understand. I believe that that is a valuable quality to have as a moderator to be able to explain things to people in respectable terms that they understand while simultaneously conveying the message. I am also a very patient person, as well as motivated. Despite my battle with depression, I am a completely changed person. I am practically never bored, and take great interest in activities others would find mind numbingly boring. For example, in Runescape, I achieved 20 million experience in both the skills Mining and Runecrafting. Being a member of a botting site that may not seem very impressive, except at the time I was a completely legit player and was not a member of any botting or cheating web sites or communities. I achieved 99s and beyond and both those skills by powermining iron in f2p for Mining, as well as trips to the mining guild; and I achieved 99 Runecrafting by making nature runes up until 85, astral runes from 85 to 90, and from 90-99 I alternated between ZMI, abyss runecrafting, natures, and astrals (Runecrafting was easily my favorite skill). I believe that alone represents the patience that I possess, and that same patience is applicable as well as essential when dealing with people on a forum. Lastly, I am gifted at arguing. I very much like to argue with people, as a matter of fact. I have the ability to form opinions and back them up with applicable evidence, and I do not make conclusions based on entirely subjective thoughts. I am also able to accept when I am wrong, and will not carry out an argument in which I am clearly wrong. I have a way with using evidence to point out peoples flaws in logic, and I believe that quality could be immensely useful in helping with both disputes and appeals, as well as dealing with members in need of assistance. Conclusion I realize that I post in random a lot in fact, practically all the time. However, I truly it would be a mistake not to consider myself or other active random members as moderators. As an example, Apple used to actively spam random and forum games; now, he is one of the most useful moderators I have seen in my time on Powerbot. I firmly believe no I know I could contribute the same kind of aid that he does. Thank you very much for reading, Druid.
