MineQuest pre-registration: Pre-registration is required. Please complete the registration form and return it to Mintec by 5 p.m., CMT, March 22, 2013. Registration/cancellation deadline: Guests will incur a $500 late fee if their MineQuest registration and/or cancellation are not finalized by 5 p.m., CMT, March 22, 2013. Resort room registration: Register early to guarantee a room at Westward Look Resort. Mintecs block of discounted rooms is limited and available only through March 22, 2013, unless filled prior to March 22, 2013. Mintec will reserve the room, but guests are responsible for any change or cancellation. NOTE: Guests not registered at Westward Look Resort will incur a $500 charge to cover MineQuest costs. Resort cancellation policy: Westward Look Resort has a 10day room reservation cancellation policy to avoid penalty fees. Guests must cancel their own reservation and are responsible for penalty fees. Westward Look check-in: Guests can check in from 4 p.m. onwards. Check-out is by noon. MineQuest check-in: Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2013. Materials, ID badges, and payment receipts will be distributed then. ID badges are required for attendance at technical sessions and social functions.

Submit an abstract of a proposed paper for presentation at MineQuest. Consider any application of MineSight involving a mining challenge of general interest to attendees. Presentations should be about 20 minutes. Receipt of abstracts - January 31, 2013 Receipt of final presentation files - March 29, 2013 Please check the presenter box on your registration form to indicate your interest in being a presenter. Throughout 2012 Mintec has added valuable functionalities to its software and introduced new time-saving tools. MineSight Strategic Planner has been enhanced with exciting new developments, such as the non-fallible functionality, as well as multi-period scheduling and a new comprehensive reporting tool, which will be taught in Class 1: MineSight for Long Term Planning Start to Finish. MineSight Haulage now features Headless Haulage, a Network Wizard and Advanced Reporting and Charting (ARC). The latest and greatest features in MineSight Schedule Optimizer include an even faster optimization speed, partial mining of cuts or benches, the ability to use SCD files, import capability for cycle time files, EOP maps, and full integration with MineSight 3D. All these functionalities will be covered in Class 2: MineSight for Short Term Planning Start to Finish.

MineSight Torque, our drillhole/blasthole-management system, now has a compositing feature and is fully integrated with our drillhole processing procedures, as well as with our Advanced Reporting and Charting (ARC) tool. It has also seen the addition of security and auditing features. For geological modelers, Mintec is close to releasing MineSight Implicit Modeler, which will auto-build geological surfaces and solids. The new features in MineSight Torque are part of Class 3 and MineSight Implicit Modeler will be demonstrated in Class 3: Introduction to MineSight for Geology 3D Block Modeling.
