Narrative Report:
In January 2008, when Mr. Henk J. Th. Van Stokkom and his son Thomas visited Alecu, they
noticed the situation of the area and the living condition of the elderly in Alecu. And Kindly
Mr. Henk took our request positively and the budget was approved by the board. But by the
time the money got to us sorted and we started work with the elderly was June 2008. Since
then, seventy (70) elderly persons take 25 birr monthly and have been so grateful for the
financial help. This regular help which they have been receiving has helped them improve their
living condition. These days, the cost of food in the area has gone up and the help has been a
grate help for the hungry and destitute poor elders.

The Daughters of Charity in Alecu are very grateful for the help provided by the OUD IN
AFRICA for the Elderly of the area. Because of this help we are able to reach those poor elders
who have no body. On the behalf of the poor elders we, the Daughters of Charity in Alecu
would like to say Thank you. God Bless your generosity.
