Movement and presence detectors for residential

Fully loaded with shopping in a dark staircase? Looking for the light switch while carrying a washing basket down to the cellar? Schneider Electric movement and presence detectors make life more convenient. As soon as a person enters the monitored area, the lighting switches on. Convenient, reliable and efficient. It also has a positive effect on your energy bill: the load is switched off again according to your individual settings. Is not it nice when convenience and energy saving go hand-in-hand?

Application example corridor and staircase

P112756

Looking for the light switch in the staircase or the corridor? Such worries are now a thing of the past. The movement detector Basic 120 switches the light on in the typical areas it is needed, when it is needed. It is practical for the user and guarantees a good level of security at all times. In this way, the movement detector Basic 120 helps you save energy conveniently.

P112759

Application example bathroom

P112757

Need to go to the bathroom in the dark at night? Thanks to the movement detector Basic 120, the light in the corridor and the bathroom switches on automatically, then goes off again after a pre-determined time. You can nd your way there and back comfortably and safely.

Application example living room

P112758

Who would have imagined it? The presence detector Medium 180 ensures real comfort in the living room. The precise presence detection leaves the light on as long as the room is in use. And if you want to get a bit cosier in front of the TV, the automatic movement and presence detection can simply be switched off using the integrated push-button. That is the life.

Movement and presence detectors for buildings

Application example foyers and washrooms

P112752

The movement detector Basic 120 keeps a close eye on your energy costs. The light switches on in the foyer or the washrooms whenever it is needed. For employees and visitors, this offers safety and convenience. For the company, it offers a welcome contribution to energy savings.

Application example corridors

P112753

Long halls such as those in schools are an ideal location to use the presence detector Advanced 180. When there is movement in the halls during break time, the lighting is activated safely and reliably. The higher mounting position allows for an extended area of detection, while at the same time affording greater damage protection. Multiple units can be linked together in master-slave mode to further increase energy efciency and guarantee complete monitor coverage. 6

Application example office

P112754

In ofces of all sizes, energy efciency is at the top of the agenda. With the presence detector Advanced 180, there is now an energy-saving lighting control system which is also suitable for open spatial structures. Thanks to the raised mounting location, even areas behind furniture are covered. Coupling multiple presence detectors in master-slave mode allows customised application scenarios and guarantees full monitoring coverage.

Application example conference room

P112755

Lights on when everyone is in the meeting! The presence detector Medium 180 switches on reliably as soon as the room is in use. If all attention should be on the video projector presentation, the lighting can simply be switched off with the integrated push-button. This way, convenience and saving energy go hand in hand.

Convincing details
Positive balance for convenience and energy
Movement and presence detectors have a lot going for them. Schneider Electric has combined innovative technology with practical details. That is how efficient solutions for modern buildings are created.
High-resolution lenses
The detection capabilities of movement and presence detectors are a clear sign of their quality. The highresolution lenses used here deliver optimum results and do not miss a single movement.

Resistant to faults
Detection precision and fault resistance are carefully coordinated with each other. Due to this, the movement and presence detectors have proven to be insensitive to white light and electrical noise.

Large area of detection

In order to best be able to react to the application conditions, there are different model variants for different areas of detection

Movement detector Basic 120

The Basic model has a horizontal angle of detection of 120. When installed at a height between 1 metre and 1.40 metres, this means it detects movement within an area of 120 m.
P112762

Movement detector Basic 120 area of detection presence: 30 m2 movement: 120 m2

Presence detector Medium 180

The Medium model has an extended angle of detection of 180. The Medium presence detector registers presence within an area of 128 m and movement within an area of 200 m.
P112762

Presence detector Medium 180 area of detection presence: 128 m2 movement: 200 m2

Presence detector Advanced 180

The Advanced model has the added advantage of an extended vertical area of detection. At an installation height of 2 metres to 2.40 metres its vertical angle of detection is 55. The Advanced presence detector thus covers an area of 98 m for presence detection and an area of 200 m for movement detection.
Presence detector Advanced 180 area of detection presence: 98 m2 movement: 200 m2

Light and time adjustment

The movement and presence detectors work to the demands of their environment. The brightness threshold and the timings can be adjusted according to the situation. The time setting is innitely variable in a range of 1 second to 20 minutes.

P112749

Mode selector
The modes of the Medium and Advanced movement and presence detectors can be conveniently congured on-site to suit individual requirements. Automatic mode (A) The lighting is switched on as soon as a movement is detected and the amount of light has fallen below a pre-determined threshold. Manual mode (semi-automatic) (M) The detector is activated using an external pushbutton or the integrated push-button. Slave mode (S) In order to provide complete coverage of larger areas, multiple movement detectors can be linked to each other. One device (master) is used as the controller, the other devices (slaves) deliver switch impulses to the master.

Field of view limitation

On the Advanced and Medium models, the area of detection is divided into a number of segments so that it can be switched in 3 respectively 7 different combinations. This precise setting allows you to completely eliminate any possibility of faults. In addition to this, the sensitivity of the detection can also be adjusted on the Medium and Advanced presence detectors. For locations with a high frequency of movement, a low level of sensitivity can be assigned. If movement is likely to be less frequent, a high level of sensitivity can be used.

Simple installation
Schneider Electric movement and presence detectors score points right from the installation stage. With a mounting depth of only 14 mm, installation is simpler than ever before. There is enough space in the ushmounted mounting box for a clean cable line. The screwless cable clamps make the electricians job easier. Simply insert the cables the easy-to-handle clamps guarantee safe and reliable contact.
