A daily British newspaper publishes the results of a poll deciding whom women in the UK view as the most inspirational role model. J.K. Rowling was voted as number one by a large majority. We used this article because it gives an accurate description of the sales of the Harry Potter books and movies and also provides small and interesting facts about the books. A professor from North Texas University talks about the significance of Harry Potter. This is a primary source because this publication is a recorded and published interview. This article was important to our research because Professor Martin shows an adult viewpoint about Harry Potter, which emphasized our statement that Harry Potter affected both the young and old generation. This video is a primary source because it was first filmed and published by J.K. Rowling, who is the creator of Pottermore. In this clip, she describes the experience and encourages fans of all ages to join. We used this because it re-emphasizes the exciting world that readers of the Harry Potter books can participate in.
