Change is the only constant. Embrace it.
You find yourself at the crossroads of a major decision. Or maybe, you do have several options at your disposal - only you don't know which option is best for you. How ironic indeed. As humanity advances and progresses, so does the complexity of the dilemmas and challenges we face everyday. Unfortunately, we need answers. And we need them fast, and we need them detailed. After all, all it takes is a simple answer that could well decide the outcome between `make' or `break'. Bottom line is, who do we turn to when we've pressing questions, and need answers that don't start with `maybe', `chances are' etc? Change is the only constant, but it's not about fearing itit's about understanding it. And when we understand, only then can we act accordingly. So, what's the Yi Jing all about? It's about allowing us to get specific answers to specific questions. And to do so, we need to first understand the nature of Change.

The Ancient Classic of Change

Understanding Change: The Concept of `Yi'
`Yi' relates to change. In fact, flux - or continuous change - is the key concept of the Yi Jing. Change is the only constant in life, and all its facets and the universe we know them, are no exception to this rule. Evolution. Revolution. Transformation. Alteration. Call it by any other name, change is dynamic, and its effects are far-reaching and encompass practically every law - natural or manmade - known in our universe. Look around you. Both living and inanimate things are created, nourished and nurtured to maturity; yet everything and everyone becomes obsolete, before decaying and dying. Theories become pass, and humankind still continues to thrive, despite the loss of geniuses and great leaders. And how, or why is that so? If you observe carefully, you will find that this continuity is due to the fact that living and inanimate things are reborn - or reincarnated, if you will - in some new form. Perhaps, Newton said it best when he stated: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but simply transformed into a new form. Change is the medium and catalyst through which humankind and things are transferred and transformed into new forms. The Yi Jing takes cognizance of this fact, by understanding that all things are subject to a change in form, and this concept encapsulates both our conscious and sub-conscious being. And it is not hindered by, but rather supersedes time and space. As scientists observe the flow of things in deriving their theorems and formulas, we too can identify the patterns of change in natural or manmade occurrences, by studying them closely. And when we understand the nature of change, we are actually able to use it to predict what the future holds in store for us!

An ancient Oracle, but with a versatility greater than any supercomputer

The Yi Jing originally functioned as an Oracle in ancient China, millennia ago, to seek divine Guidance from the Universe. It uses the language of Yin and Yang to provide advice and guidance, subject to the nature of the input given. Communication was originally defined as a basic `Yes' or `No' answer to questions posed to the Heavens. It was inevitable that as society grew - becoming more civilized and sophisticated - the curiosity and needs of people expanded, as well. Narrowing answers to merely `Yes' or `No' quickly become over-simplistic and obsolete, as more information was required! And truly, the Yi Jing has evolved over the millennia to take into account personal, social, economic and even political needs. But if you truly knew the potential of the Yi Jing, you would readily agree that it's far more powerful and potent than the most advanced supercomputer. Computers work on a `Garbage In, Garbage Out' premise. Computers don't rely on human intuition and common sense to function. The Yi Jing draws upon the natural laws of the Universe, in providing us specific answers to specific questions (read: scenarios) - and common sense is required, too!

The Science of Divination, Minus Religious Affiliations

Before you tread with suspicion or reservation, please read and more importantly, understand this: The Yi Jing is a scientific approach that allows us to derive outcomes, based on scenarios encountered. To do so, it requires the use of sophisticated calculations and formulas. It is a predictive science, and the word `divination' attached to the Yi Jing bears NO religious, cultural or superstitious affiliation. So approach and learn more about the Yi Jing with an open mind - and heart. You've nothing to lose (let alone your soul), and everything to gain!

In ancient China - during the Yi Jing's earliest stages of development tortoise shells and coins were used to seek answers from the Universe. This method of divination is haphazard at best, with a hint of spiritualism. The Mastery Academy teaches the Plum Blossom Method, which uses meticulous calculations in deriving specific answers to specific questions.
