LESSON 7: English Grammar - Superlative Adjectives - biggest, best, the most beautiful, etc. SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVE: Superlative adjective is talked about is talked about the best, the number 1 the top, the cream of the crop, means the best things anyone can imagine like my favorite actor is is the most amazing actor/actress ever seen SUPERLATIVE MEANS THE BEST Rules If adjective word has one syllable=add the +est, Like Cold has one syllable, because having only one syllable to make superlative we have add THE COLDEST If adjective word has more than one but less than two syllable that ends with Y = Change Y into I & add the +est, like Busy has two syllable, because having two syllable to make superlative we have to change Y into I & then add est BUSIEST If adjective word has more than one than two syllable that doesnt ends with Y = The Most + Adjective like Beautiful has three syllable, because having three syllable to make superlative we have say THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Exceptions (only some are commonly we talked about) Good = THE BEST, we shouldnt say The goodest, the more good and many more Bad = THE WORST If the words have three letters or have three letters sounds= double the last constant sound if the words have three letter & add est like BIG comes Biggest or the biggest. Same as thin, thin has three sounds we can say THE THINNEST LESSON 8: Speaking English - Bad Habits Bad habits are things that people do with little bit rude, disgusting even sometimes.
