This hospital is situated in Region of RIYADH Hospital has a very good academic
environment & round the clock up to date Laboratory support. Pediatrics Department
consists of 28 beds in general Pediatric ward included 6 beds in Hi-Dependency, 8beds in
SCBU which is fully equipped with modern ventilators & monitoring facilities. More over 2
beds in PICU with all intensive care equipments. My job is whole time & residential;
consist of 6 – 8 (24 hours) duties divided in Pediatrics ward & SCBU per month & out
patient department coverage in cool days. My responsibilities during on call duties are to
take care of admitted sick children & manage new cases also attend A&E critical visits.
Duties in SCBU are very busy here, included well baby rounds in Maternity ward,
management of critically ill babies e.g. with extreme prematurity, RDS, Birth Asphyxia,
diaphragmatic hernia, complex congenital heart diseases & other multiple congenital
anomalies. I am trained in neonatal resuscitation, initial management of all emergencies
occur in Neonatal unit as well as in Paediatric ward till the senior help arrived. I have a
good experience in transferring critically sick ventilated baby to tertiary care unit. I am
expert in all procedures like ETT insertion, Umbilical catheterizations, arterial lines,
Surfactant therapy, Lumber puncture & Bone Marrow Aspiration as well as in other life
saving maneuvers.

This is secondary care hospital consists of 150 Beds with all modern facilities like C.T.
Scan, MRI, Echo & EEG Departments with very well equipped 24 hours Laboratory
services. This hospital has excellent academic atmosphere. Among teaching staff in
Paediatrics Department, there are Nine (9) Consultants with highest Diplomas like FRCP,
MRCP, MRCPCH, ARAB BOARD & M.D. There is teaching program consisting of Morning
Presentations, Grand Rounds, Lectures & Clinicopathological Meetings at hospital level.
More over there are inter hospital Paediatric Conferences. I took part in all above
mentioned activities & also delivered presentations on acute bronchiolitis & nephrotic
syndrome at hospital level. The Paeditrics Department consists of 30 beds including 4
beds in PICU which is fully equipped with latest ventilators & all monitoring facilities.
Neonatology Unit consists of more than 28 beds including 6 beds in NICU. Pediatric
Emergency Department included 8 beds& provides services round the clock. I worked
here as resident & my job was whole time & residential. I worked in paediatric ward, PICU,
Neonatology & had a valuable experience of about 20 months in Paediatric Emergency
Department, where I attended all kind of emergencies likes near drowning, poisoning,
snake bite, scorpion bite, electric caution, status asthmaticus, status epilepticus, foreign
body bronchus.

This is 380 bedded teaching hospital which is recognized by The Pakistan Medical &
Dental Counsel, & College Of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan. Pediatrics Unit consists of
48 beds including 4 beds in PICU & Neonatology Unit consists of 18 beds including 6 beds
in NICU with ventilators & all monitoring services. I worked there as Medical Officer & my
duties were whole time & residential involved, attending pediatric ward, paediatric
emergency department, out patient department & neonatology department on rotation.
During on calls I was responsible for all indoor patients & able to tackle all types of
pediatric emergency situation with or without supervision.
