At the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. To use the language effectively in the form of oral and written. 2. To effectively communicate orally in terms of pronunciation and intonation, grammar, vocabulary, phrases and sentences.
3. To indentify various types of written materials and forth. 4. To express thoughts verbally and in written form in proper and effective language. 5. To summarise details and enhance ideas in manner of order and compact, which is effective in both oral and written. 6. To make compositions of various texts in proper and effective language. 7. To communicate politely in oral and written while maintaining moral values of the Malaysia society. Transferable Skills: This course is aimed so that students could appreciate, experience and have knowledge of personal matters and society issues. Besides that, the ability to be creative and non creative in oral and written is also taken into consideration. Generally, this course is aimed to instill language enrichment for the importance of higher education and career of a student. Synopsis:

This course is aims to increase students proficiency and mastery of the Malay language. The emphasis of this course is on expressing thoughts and ideas and communicating effectively in both formal and informal settings. This course also tests the students sensitivity to listening and writing skills at the workplace. 13
