TECH FEST EVENT DETAILS (ECE)

BRAIN STRAIN
This event is a technical quiz. Questions in first round will be about basics of mathematics. The final round will be technical visual based quiz. CRITERION: The one who will give maximum correct answers within specified time interval will be promoted to next level. Same procedure will be followed in next level. RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) It is individual participation quiz. 2) The entry fee per head is Rs.20. 3) There will be two levels. 4) First level will be mathematica. 5) Final level is a visual quiz. 6) Total timing for quiz will be three hours. 7) Mobile phones and calculators are not allowed. 8) First three ranks will be awarded. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

FOXHUNT (TECHNICAL TREASURE HUNT)

The event is a treasure hunt but the clues that will be given to participants would be technical. They have to interpret the location and clue from the technical clue given to them. CRITERION: The team which finds clue earlier than other teams is declared winner. RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) Each team can consist of maximum 5 members. 2) It will consist of three rounds. 3) Time interval for the first round will be 15min & will increase by 5min in each round. 4) The entry fee per head is Rs.30 5) Clues will be completely technical PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

IMPRESSO (INNOVATION OUT OF WASTE)

With the provided material, the participants will have to create their magnum opus. It can be any work of art, some model or anything innovative. CRITERION: The team which will creates something innovative and meaningful will be declared as winner by the respective judge(s). RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1)Each team can constitute maximum of 3 members. 2)Team will be charged Rs.20 per head. 3)Maximum time allocated will be 1 hour for the WHOLE EVENT. 4)No other material except provided is permissible. 5)Winners will be rewarded accordingly. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

OFF ROAD RACE

It is an off road race of robots. Participants will have to cover the track in minimum possible time. The track can consist of various hurdles like MARBLES, OIL and PEBBLES etc. CRITERION: The team which will complete the track in minimum time would be the winner. RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) Penalty for touching boundaries will be addition of 5sec. 2) Penalty for touching robots will be addition of 6sec. 3) Participant should try for atleast 10sec at 1 obstacle; after 10sec. obstacle can be skipped. According to the difficulty, penalty will be charged. 4) Drivers would not be changed during 1 run PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

GO CART
In this event, a track will be drawn on the cemented area. Participants have to cover the track as early as possible. In this event speed is a prime factor that is to be considered. CRITERION: the team who will complete the track in minimum time will be the winner. RULES AND REGULATIONS : 1) Penalty for touching boundaries will be addition of 3 seconds. 2) There will be two laps. 3) Time will be provided to charge batteries if required. That time will not be added in main time. 4) Penalty for touching robots will be addition of 5sec. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded SPECIFICATION OF ROBOTS: Robots should be self made and operate on batteries (MAX. 12V battery).NO power supply will be provided.

WHO AM I???(DETECT THE COMPONENTS)

There will be 2 or 3 circuits on which different components will be mounted. The circuits will be covered with a sheet of paper before the beginning of event. The participants have to jot down the the name of maximum no. of components they see on a piece of paper (provided) in given time. The participants writing names of maximum components will qualify for next level. In the next level different components will be provided to participants and they have to write the value of the components. Multimeters will be provided to them. Participant writing maximum number of components (in given time) along with their correct value will be declared as winner RULES AND REGULATIONS : 1) It is an individual participation quiz. 2) Time of 10-20 seconds (can be changed accordingly) will be given to them in first round. During second round, time will be more. 3) If any participant happens to write the name of component which is not actually present on the circuit will be disqualified. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

TECHNICAL TERMS
In this event participants have to speak maximum number of technical words in context of theme given to them. Theme can be Electrical, Electronics, and Computers etc.

RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) The more words you speak accurately in a certain time, the more will be your score. 2) It is an individual participation quiz. 3) Words should be strictly in context of provided theme. In case of any ambiguity the final decision will be made by teacher coordinator of the event. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

YOUTH PARLIAMENT
The event includes discussion about current issues in country. RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1)Students from all the colleges are invited to raise their voice for a burning issue and have a debate with any other random group. 2)Any issue or topic (mentioned below) will be discussed or debated till it is justified by the group. 3)Any kind of offensive language will not be accepted. Students may speak in Hindi, English or Punjabi. 4)Any topics related to Racism, and which may hurt sentiments of others will not be involved 5)The speaker of this parliament will be the coordinator himself. 6)Per participant will be charged by sum of Rs. 10 Topics: Environment Education Structure Corruption Ministry of Railway Terrorism Foreign Affairs PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded

SHIP DESTROYER (BATTLESHIP)

This is an game which will held on surface of water. Two ships will compete at a time. The game will be played between different players (two in a team). In this game at a time only two teams participate. Winning team will compete with next match winners. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1) No one will touch the ship during the game. 2) The participant will have to push the opponent ship beyond a particular limit. 3) If the ship gets inverted during the game, the team will be disqualified and the opponent team will be the winner. 4) There will be three rounds of the game. If there is a tie, the game would be played till 5th round. 5) Ships will be provided by the organizers. PRIZE: Participation Certificate will be given to all and winners will be awarded
