I received my education at Nevada State College and have obtained my B.A in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Bilingual Education. My degree has allowed me to prepare and be qualified to teach in English as well as in Spanish. I am eager to contribute to an amazing school district such as the Clark County School District. I have enclosed my resume for your review. My student teaching was conducted at Cyril Wengert Elementary School where I obtained many skills and information on how to be an effective teacher. As part of the Teacher Preparation program at Nevada State College, I have also conducted many field observation hours in CCSD classrooms throughout the valley. Being an education major with a concentration on bilingual education I have been able to work with ELL students, which has given me experience in teaching students with different needs. With the dual language programs rising, qualified teachers are needed and I feel confident in my skills to obtain this position and to start making a positive difference in the lives of children. Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for teaching; from teaching younger siblings and cousins to children around the neighborhood, and even teaching my own child at home. As a member of your team, you would have someone who is reliable, hardworking, and extremely motivated. I am genuinely interested in the childrens future; just seeing a childs light bulb turn on when they finally understand a concept makes teaching worthwhile. With all the trouble children go through these days, school has become a safe zone to most children and this school district needs a person, such as me, who can provide that for them. I am highly interested in becoming a part of this school district. With Clark County being the nations fifth largest school district, as well as being the highest in the nation in regards to class sizes, I would be honored to be part of aiding in the reduction of class sizes and giving students the education they deserve.
