MEET TEAM HASEKS NOMINEE FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: ANGIE HASEK

On March 12th, 2013, Andrew Hasek announced that his pick for Executive Director would be his sister, Angie Hasek, if he is victorious at the Minnesota College Republican Convention on April 20, 2013. She is currently a sophomore at the University of St. Thomas and majoring in Entrepreneurship and is minoring in Political Science. Angie is serving alongside Andrew as his Vice-Chair of St. Thomas College Republicans. While searching for colleges the one requirement Angie had was that they had a College Republican chapter. She participated in the High School Page Program during her junior year of high school and immediately knew politics was something she wanted to get involved in. Her first exposure to College Republicans was when she was a senior in high school and went with Andrew and other MNCRs to protest Obamas visit to Minneapolis. She loves helping out with events and has done things ranging from reporting Minnesotas caucus results, door-knocking, and phonebanking. Her favorite CR moments include meeting Paul Ryan and Scott Walker, the Paul Ryan rally, and attending CPAC in DC. Angie states she is a Republican because she was raised in a household where you dont spend more than you make, and you reap the benefits of working hard. She is a strong believer in the preservation of life, the existence of God, and protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us by God. Angie also loves guns, Israel, and the prospect of having a private sector job when she graduates. Angie graduated from Fairmont High School in 2011. She volunteered for the Randy Demmer for Congress campaign in 2010. She looks forward to bringing her organizational skills, passion, and logical yet creative ideas to the table. In her spare time she enjoys watching How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, and The Office, traveling, hanging out with friends, and nerding out on Sporcle. She also enjoys her internship in the Senate Republican Caucus Communication Department, and she is excited to begin working for Cam Wintons Minneapolis mayoral campaign.
