SENIOR PROJECT: Organic Applications: The Organic Gardeners Dilemma

The project studies the effectiveness of organic fertilizers popular among home gardeners in terms of plant growth and overall health. Experiments will test the hypothesis that organic fertilizers vastly differ among one another in regards to plant growth and health. The project will also analyze how the experimental conclusions can be used to streamline the methods of small scale gardening and understand what implications the study results may have on the organic agriculture industry as whole. Study results will be published in a scientific paper and presented at the Atlantic County Utility Authority annual Earth Day event. Event organizers hope to inform local organic gardeners in their growing medium choice.
