1. Introduction Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the market value of all officially recognized final goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time. The GDP indicates the annual production that incurs within the boundary of a country. It is a very important key factor in the economy of a country. There are three sectors which primarily contribute to the composition of GDP of a country. These are: agriculture-sector, industry-sector and service-sector. The contribution of these three sectors of Bangladesh as well as in the other countries is discussed here with tabular form and graphical representation.

2. Sector wise GDP composition in Bangladesh from 1941-2012 This part of the assignment analyzes the sector wise GDP composition of the Bangladesh economy from the year 1941-2012. Data were analyzed over an incremental 10 year period. The contributions are given in percentage of total GDP. Figure 2: Sector wise GDP Composition of Germany Germany is Europes largest economic unit. Germany industrial products are known world over for their efficiency and quality. Saudi Arabia happens to be worlds the largest oil exporter. In the economy of Saudi Arabia, the industry sector contributes the maximum to the GDP. Agriculture has almost a nonexistent role in the economy. Figure 4: Sector wise GDP Composition of Srilanka The economy of Srilanka is quite similar to that of Bangladesh. Services dominate the economy and the manufacturing sector maintains a strong foothold at second place. Agriculture contributes an ever decreasing share to the economy of Srilanka. 3.4 Least developed country (Mali): Table 5: Sector wise GDP Composition of Mali Agriculture Industry Service 36.9% 23.4% 39.7% Mali is a poor sub Saharan country with a poorly developed economy. World Bank has termed this country in the least developed Country category. Agriculture and the services sectors dominate the economy.

Figure 6: Sector wise GDP Composition of Brazil Brazil is a rapidly developing country. Services dominate the economy and the industry sector contributes to a sizable portion of the economy. Agriculture sector plays a minor role in the economy.

Figure 7: Sector wise GDP Composition of China China is potentially the largest economy in the near future. The country is already a superpower. However, the GDP composition of china differs from other economies in the first world. The industry sector commands the largest share of the GDP of china. China is still a developing country and that is why agriculture still maintains a strong foothold in the economy. 4.
