Experience Teacher Specialist for Instructional Technology Technology Services Frederick County Public Schools, 2007 present Responsible for the technology professional development for nine schools spanning K-12 and Rock Creek School (Pre-K through 21 years) for teachers, assistants, administrators, speech language pathologists, special educators, media specialists, teacher specialists and Central Office personnel. Plan and develop whole group trainings, small group trainings (grade level or department), and individual trainings. Help staff to choose the most appropriate use of technology to meet their instructional goal(s). Collaborate with curriculum specialists and departments to integrate technology into their curriculum and provide support to innovative ideas. Research and share a variety of areas, including Salient 5, Common Core, school improvement, instructional strategies, assistive technology, and student assessment. Design and develop bi-monthly workshops for teacher leaders at the county level. Expedite technology orders for renovated schools, such as West Frederick Middle School and Lincoln Elementary School. Leveraged technology in the classroom by Integrating hardware and software to daily lesson plans including: laptop, data projection system, ELMO document camera, Smart Board, CPS remote units, COW lab (wireless set of laptops for student use), Google Earth, Unitedstreaming, MovieMaker, and Audacity.
