Today I Learned
Today I learned about when Jesus died for me and when He was buried in the tomb.
Memory Verse:
At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden. A new tomb was there. No one had ever been put in it before. That day was the Jewish Preparation Day, and the tomb was nearby. So they placed Jesus there. John 19:41-42
Questions to Ask:
1. Why did Jesus die for us? 2. Where was Jesus buried? 3. How many days was Jesus in the tomb?
Family Time: Review with your child the memory verse everyday.

John 19:41-42
John 11:25-26
Ask the children why Jesus died. Have them write it on the blank hearts and then color. Color the hearts with the pictures on them and discuss that Jesus also died for the world, our mommys and daddys, etc. Cut and glue Jesus hands to the bottom of the file folder (hold it vertical) and color. Cut out all the hearts and glue some of them around the hands Attach yarn or ribbon to the left over hearts and tape the yarn to the top of the file folder. It should look as if they are falling into the hands. Paste cover to folder

Memory Verse:
Jesus said, Do not hold on to me. I have not yet returned to the Father. Instead, go to those who believe in me. Tell them, I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. John 20:17
Questions to Ask:
1. On which day did Jesus rise from the dead? 2. Who went to look for him? 3. What does Jesus rising from the dead mean?
