OVERVIEW Intel
for
Change
is
a
program
being
piloted
based
on
the
value
that
educa=on
is
a
fundamental
right
for
everyone.
Girls
are
dispropor=onately
denied
access
to
educa=on.
Through
this
program,
Intel
seeks
to
empower
young
people
with
knowledge,
rst-hand
experience,
and
plaGorms
to
scale
solu=ons
to
ensure
that
equal
access
to
educa=on
is
available
for
all.
THE
BASICS Intel
for
Change
will
select
three
young
men
and
women
dedicated
to
making
a
dierence
in
girls
educa=on
around
the
world. Applica=ons
will
be
promoted
on
10
college
and
university
campuses
iden=ed
for
commitment
to
civic
engagement,
including:

Applica=ons will be collected in person by Break Away, which is helping to target a core group of students who come with some degree of experience and thought developed regarding service, or: o social jus=ce minded individuals who have par=cipated in alterna=ve break trips, oservice minded students who are part of the oces which support alterna=ve break trips and oLastly, broad campus outreach. Par=cipants will be selected through an online video applica=on process which will be facilitated on campus by Break Away. The three par=cipants and alternates will be determined by a mix of online votes, and expert panels.
The
three
selected
individuals
will
be
supported
in
the
following
ac=on: Learning
Trips:
A
fully
paid
for
10
day
trip
(including
any
needed
vaccina=ons,
visas,
etc.)
for
immersion
exposure
and
service
in
girls
educa=on:
one
to
Kenya,
one
to
Ecuador
and
one
to
India.
Trips
will
consist
of
projects
which
engage
par=cipants
in
school
construc=on,
well
building
and/or
an
in-service
learning
project.
They
will
also
take
part
in
community
mee=ngs,
cultural
experiences,
and
documenta=on
of
the
experience. AcQon:
Applying
their
Learning
Trip
experience,
the
3
par=cipants
will
serve
as
an
ongoing
advocate
for
the
issue
upon
their
return
to
campuses
and
communi=es. Par=cipants
will
be
part
of
the
following: Real-Time
Trip
Reports:
Blogging
the
Learning
and
Impact
Trips
(blogs,
photos,
short
videos,
etc.)

all
captured
and
shared
using
Intel
technology.

Series:
Documentary-style
series
telling
the
stories
of
the
three
winners,
their
experience
in
the
eld,
and
the
issue
of
girls
educa=on
as
a
whole.

will
be

by
