(1) Program Description: The objective of electrical engineering program is to develop outgoing students to the level of technical competence so that they can easily be accommodated in industry system and/or to be made capable to attain higher qualifications and conduct research. (2) The Prime Program Educational Objectives: I. To prepare students for a professional career in Electrical Engineering. II. To develop the capability in students to solve engineering problems, carry out higher studies and research in core areas. III. To induct professionalism, creativity, innovativeness and ethical attitude leading to better services of the society. (3) Learning Outcomes of the Course: a. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. b. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. c. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. d. An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams. e. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems. f. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. g. An ability to communicate effectively. h. The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. i. (5) Course Objectives: The study of subject Power System Instrumentation of undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering will achieve the following major objectives:1. This course will help the students to learn about the Instrumentation involved in power systems where the monitoring of various physical parameters is done. Also it will help the students to understand the operation of transducers, signal conditioners and measuring instruments used in power systems. 2. This course will help the students to pursue postgraduate course and Research associated with power systems. 3. This subject finds its application in industries, power utilities where monitoring and process control are required.
