1 . Abstract:
The purpose of the system is to develop Online Patient Appointment Management System used to take the appointment with respect to the particular technology. The manual procedure used for taking appointment is a time consuming 2

process and error prone due to human limitations. The System purpose is to completely automate the old manual procedure of taking appointment to Online Web Based Patient Appointment Management System.

2 . Introduction:
Now-a-days all the work of appointment is done with the help of ink and paper at several hospitals of Pakistan. Online Patient Appointment System is a web based application that will eliminate this kind of problem. Through this a lot of time, expensive and difficulties for the candidates as well as for the related workers would be eliminated. This will facilitate the patient to get appointment in hospital or clinic through internet.

4 . Project overview statement:

The patients would apply by sending request through online and would get notification email for confirmation .Through web based application, Online Patient Appointment System, hospital or clinic will send appointment notification by sending email automatically to the patient from his / her selected 3

specialist doctor according to suitable choose schedule with day, date and time. Patient is not allowed to signup to more than one email address at a time. After receiving the confirmation mail he / she can send again request if the confirmation time slot does not suite.

5 . Project goals and objectives:

There are following project goals and objectives.

(i)Goals:
Elimination of paper work for appointment. Reduce the time and save the money for appointment. Facilitate the patients to get appointment through internet. Through this web-application a confirmation mail would be send to the patient from his / her relevant specialist doctor.. All requesting patients would be kept their record and can see any time by using their login.. All doctors can see their patients appointments and also edit and update the requesting data.

 Reliability. Availability. Recovers gracefully and quickly fromanomalous behavior or conditions. Maintainability. Efficiency/Performance.

(ii)Objectives:
To get appointment online Increasing the efficiency, saving time and removing human errors during recording patient data. Providing accurate information for any candidate that has applied for appointment when required. Generating each patient medical report. Manage large number of patients in details. View all the details of the applying patients when it is required. Activities like updating, modification, deletion of records would be easy.

6. Purpose:
The main purpose of the system is: To automate the task carried by the different people(patients) to take appointments by using internet.

 User can register, login and send request for appointment with his specific id, and can see his/her appointments as well. This Web Application provides facility to take online appointement for treatment to the relevant specialized doctor. It saves time as it allows number of patients to take appointment according to his / her suitable time and date. Administrator has a privilege to create, modify and delete the dieseses and particular information of doctors & patients. Patient can register, login and send request for appointment with his / her specific id, and can see appointment information as well.

7. Scope:
The scope of the system is the Receive the appointment request for appointment online from patient to doctor. Generate automated sequential appointment confirmation response to patient by sending in form of sending email automatically by confirming the request by the doctor. Doctor can only edit date & time if the requesting date & time slots are not available and then confirm the pending request. Option to schedule the appointments for the patients. 6

 Automate and manage the whole appointments.
