FADE IN: INT. SALOON - NIGHT Deserted, the only life comes from a SHORT MAN(40s), who sits and plays the piano. Floorboards creek as a COWBOY(30s), steps behind the Short Man. SUPER: 1888 The Short Man stops playing. He turns to face the Cowboy, who draws a revolver and aims it in his direction. The Short Man leaps off his chair. His eyes turn a deep red, horns grow from his scalp and his teeth sharpen all in an instant. BANG! The Cowboy fires his revolver. A gold bullet sparks as it exits the chamber. It glistens as it glides through the air, then SPLAT As it enters the Short Mans skull, drops him in an instant. The Cowboy looks down at the corpse. COWBOY Names Miles Dumas, demon hunter. The Saloon slowly begins to fall apart, piece by piece it is replaced by a 1950s style club. The Cowboy turns around and becomes a 1950s style GANGSTER(50s) SUPER: CHICAGO 1957 He looks around at the various upmarket PEOPLE who sit and socialize. A WAITER looks over as he places a drink down at a table. His eyes flash blue. The Gangster looks at some WELL DRESSED WOMEN. Their eyes also flash blue. Soon he is surrounded by blue eyed demons. They SNARL. He smiles. The Gangster opens his palm.

GANGSTER Allow me to introduce myself. The names Frank Dumas, and Im the worlds greatest demon hunter. Dont believe me? Well, youre about to find out. A small orange glow appears on his palm. The orange glow morphs into a large pulsing ball of energy. The demons lunge. The Gangster lifts the ball of energy, it explodes into a blinding light. Everything freezes. The club falls apart, piece by piece its replaced by a 1980s style rock concert hall. ROCKERS dance to a rock ballad. SUPER: NEW YORK 1985 The Gangster morphs into a ROCKER(30s). The Rocker dances his way through the crowd, stands next to a BIKER CHICK. ROCKER How ya doin? She ignores him. ROCKER You wanna get outta here? She turns, looks him up and down. EXT. ALLEY - MOMENTS LATER The Rocker follows Biker Chick into the alley. BIKER CHICK This is a really dumb plan, dumb ass. ROCKER The names Dumas, actually, and Im the worlds greatest -Biker Chick reveals her dark black eyes and sharp teeth as she launches a FIST At The Rocker. The fist morphs into a Giant mans fist and hits the jaw of CODY DUMAS(28), handsome, cocky, confident.

SUPER: NOW A GIANT of a man picks Cody up by the scruff of his jacket, pulls back his fist. Aw crap. CODY

Giant swings his fist forward. WHACK! Cody spits blood, laughs a little. GIANT You better say it! WHACK! GIANT Come on, admit it! A hard punch to Codys gut. CODY Okay, okay. The Giant waits. CODY Im kind of attracted to you. WHACK! Cody spits more blood. Laughs again. GIANT Why you laughin, huh? Whats so funny? Cody takes a long hard look at Giants ugly face. Seriously? WHACK! Another shot to the gut. CODY Alright, Ill admit it. Just stop freakin hittin me, okay? Giant eases off. CODY

CODY Now I dont normally tell anyone this, but I love it when my girl dresses up like Han Solo-- What can I say? The girl gets me. WHACK! Cody gets his breath. CODY Woo. You must be gettin tired, Andre? GIANT I wanna hear you say it, or Im gonna snap your neck. CODY Im just playin with ya, bro. Ill say it. Giant grabs Cody by the balls. CODY My names Cody Dumas... Giant squeezes tight. CODY Ow, shit!.. And Im a hustler! Giant smiles, pulls a roll of twenties from Codys pocket and follows it with a KICK To Codys crotch. Giant turns and walks away. Cody falls back, arms wide open. The pain soon fades. Cody smiles, tooth missing. The smile turns into a laugh. INT. BAR - SAME Giant sits, opens up the roll of twenties. Angry, he SLAMS the money down on the table. Son-of-a! GIANT

A crumpled twenty dollar bill lies on the table with a bunch of badly drawn, crayon filled paper. The word sucker plastered all over them.

5.

EXT. STREET - SAME Cody bolts down the street in laughter. He pulls a real roll of cash from his pocket. INT. OLD APARTMENT - NIGHT As big as a shoebox. A refrigerator, bed and an old mirror fill the room. Cody walks in, struggles to take off his jacket. Crap. He cracks his neck. Crap. CODY CODY

Cody checks his missing tooth. Crap! CODY

Blood flows from a gash on his forehead. Cody holds a dirty towel against it, lies back on the bed. He chuckles to himself. INT. OLD APARTMENT - MORNING Codys asleep, the towel still pressed to his forehead. A cockroach crawls along his leg. He opens his eyes, sees the cockroach, whacks it away. Ah, God! CODY

He pulls himself up, looks at the bloody towel, gets out of bed and walks to the mirror. The cut has gone. Cody checks his tooth. Its back. What the? CODY

He wobbles the tooth. Solid. CODY How the hell? INT. BURGER TIME - LATER Old, worn equipment. Cody steps in to the kitchen, downs milk from a carton, throws it in the trash.

BOBBY(50s), well built, stands and flips burgers in a hurry. BOBBY Late again, Cody... CODY Give me time to get here, man. BOBBY You live upstairs! Cody takes off his jacket, puts on a white T-shirt and apron. CODY Whats the big deal, Bob? BOBBY Big deal? Its your God damn business. I just work here! CODY More like my hand-me-down. Cody pulls the roll of cash from his pocket, hands it to Bobby, who snatches it. BOBBY Now you just owe me for the last six months. CODY Ill get to it. BOBBY Oh yeah? When? CODY When I get to it. CUSTOMERS line up at the counter. CODY Come on, Bobby, you love me. Cody kisses Bobby on the forehead. CODY If only you were a chick. Bobby smirks, shoves Cody off. MALE CUSTOMER Am I gonna get some service here or what? BOBBY What does it look like Im doin here? Im busy, I aint standin playin with my balls!

7.

The customer quietens down. CODY Whats with you? BOBBY Your dad left you this place, kid. Hed want you to take care of it. CODY Yeah, because my wish was to own a burger joint. BOBBY That aint the point. Point is, he loved you, wanted you to have somethin. It may not be much, but its a place at least. The male customer throws a ketchup bottle at Bobby, It cracks off his head. The customer runs. Bobby picks up the bottle. BOBBY Come back and Ill shove this bottle straight up your ass! CODY No wonder were losin business. Bobby shoots Cody a look. CODY Bobby, every penny I can get goes into this dump then outta my ass. You even seen how I live upstairs? Dont think I dont care. Bobby leaves the burgers, takes off his apron. BOBBY Hopefully you care enough not to burn these burgers. Im goin for lunch. Um, Bobby? CODY

Cody looks down at the burgers. CODY Bobby! How do I know when theyre cooked?

8.

INT. DARK ROOM A chair sits in the centre of an otherwise empty room. On the chair is a bloody and battered man. This man is THOMAS(50). A door opens, in walks ALRIC(30s), well-built, tall, dark red pupils. He steps towards Thomas. ALRIC There once was a man, much like you. He stayed silent, much like you. Thomas coughs blood. ALRIC But unlike you, he didnt know what I am. Do you know what I am, Thomas? Thomas nods. ALRIC Then you know what I can do? Alric crouches. He looks into Thomas eyes. Thomas nods. Alric forces his hand into Thomas gut. He twists and turns. Thomas squeals. ALRIC You dont even have to say it. Just think it. Thomas clenches his face, fights the pain. ALRIC Ill just keep killing you and bringing you back. It aint no chore. Alrics eyes turn a deeper red, his face grows more demonic in features. ALRIC (deep voice) Tell me! Where is he?! Alric listens, he smiles. His face turns back to normal. He removes his hand from Thomas gut. ALRIC Thank-you, Thomas. You really dont know what a great service youve done. Alric stands, turns and walks towards the exit.

9.

ALRIC Now close your eyes, Thomas... Its one hell of a drop. He clicks his fingers then walks out the door. A few moments of silence. The ground shakes beneath Thomas. He looks to the corners of the room as bit by bit the ground begins to disintegrate. Everything below him crumbles. The chair falls below the surface. Thomas screams as he falls into the bottomless pit. The ground builds itself back up again, just like nothing happened. INT. MANSION - MOMENTS LATER Alric walks through the well decorated foyer. He stops at a doorway. In front of him are two doors. One door is frozen solid, the other is on fire. Alric looks at them both, thinks. ALRIC Which of you, um, gentlemen shall it be? The ice door CRACKS, the fire door GROWLS. Alric smiles, walks towards the ice door. The ice door swings open. A blast of Ice shoots out. INT. STYLISH BAR - NIGHT Cody stands at a table, holds a beer glass. He places it down on the table and looks to two SEXY GIRLS, who stand in front of him. CODY So this is an easy one. We have a bet, if I win. You buy me a drink. You win, I buy you a drink. SEXY BRUNETTE Is that all we get? Cody winks. CODY Maybe, maybe not.

They giggle. SEXY BLONDE So whats the bet, baby? Cody looks to the beer glass. CODY What do you think is bigger? The height of the glass? He places his finger on the rim of the glass and circles it. CODY Or the rim? The sexy girls look at each other, laugh, then back at Cody. SEXY BRUNETTE I love a nice big rim, but Im going with height. Sure? CODY

They both nod in a seductive manner. CODY I say the rim is longer. So If Im right, I get a beer off of both of you sexy ladies. Cody gets a napkin. CODY Okay, lets measure this baby-wait. How about we make this more interesting? He places the glass on an ashtray. SEXY BLONDE Now that is definitely longer. CODY You know your lengths, huh? He places a box of matches between the glass and the ashtray and puts the glass on top. CODY If Im right, I get two beers. Okay? They nod. CODY Actually... You got cell phones?

11.

Sexy Brunette nods, takes her cell phone from her cleavage and hands it to Cody. CODY Still warm. He places that down too. CODY Three beers each. And a kiss. He winks again. Cody picks up the napkin and holds it around the rim of the glass. Got a pen? CODY

Sexy Blonde takes a pen from her back pocket. CODY Wanna mark it for me? She does. CODY Okay... hope you girls are ready. He lines the napkin up against the pint glass. The pen mark rests about an inch above the glass. Damn it! SEXY BLONDE

SEXY BRUNETTE You cheated! Cody laughs. CODY I think Ill have my kiss first. The sexy girls smile. EXT. STYLISH BAR - NIGHT Cody staggers out of the exit. Drunk as hell, he holds himself up against the wall. He notices his breath suddenly turns visible. CODY Its still June, right? Cody shakes it off, staggers down the street.

12.

INT. OLD APARTMENT - NIGHT Cody falls back on the bed, fully clothed. He closes his eyes. His breath is visible as he sleeps. A cold shiver wakes him up. INT. OLD BOOKSTORE - NIGHT A COLLECTOR(60s), sits behind a desk. He pushes up his reading glasses as he examines an old book. The door chimes. COLLECTOR Im sorry. We just closed. Alric strolls in. ALRIC Oh, Im sure you can make an exception for me. The collector jumps to his feet. COLLECTOR What-- like I said, were closed. ALRIC Dont play coy, old man. You know why Im here. The Collector dashes for the exit. Alric rolls his eyes, raises his hands and clicks his fingers. A bookshelf tips over and crushes the Collectors legs, pins him to the ground. ALRIC Where is it? The Collector struggles. ALRIC Where is it!? COLLECTOR The... the safe. Alric looks to a safe under the desk. Thanks. ALRIC

He clicks his fingers again, the Collectors neck snaps like a twig. Alric moves to the safe. He opens it with a simple pull. A purple glow basks the room in light. Alric smiles. INT. BURGER TIME - NIGHT Cody sits at a table, counts cash. Bobby swings a towel over his shoulder, sits down next to Cody. BOBBY How did we do? CODY Two hundred dollars on a friday night aint exactly payin the bills. Cody holds his head. CODY What age is it when you cant handle a drink anymore? BOBBY Youre twenty eight, kid. Think you got a while yet. Bobby places a picture on the table. On the picture is a young Cody(4) and the Rocker. Dad... CODY

BOBBY Before he cut his hair. Cody smiles, lifts the picture and holds it close. BOBBY He was a lot like you are now. Running away from his responsibilities. CODY I didnt run away, Bobby. Im right here. BOBBY Not what I meant. This aint you. It was never supposed to be you, kid. Your father got this place for a reason, he -Bobby freezes. He looks at Cody. Codys breath is visible.

Bobby stands, looks up at the windows. They freeze over. Oh no. BOBBY

Bobby grabs hold of Cody. CODY What? Bobby what the hell ya doin? Bobby drags him into the kitchen area. He turns the gas on, lights all the burners. BOBBY Turn that oven on, kid! CODY Um, Im thinkin about the gas bill here. Bobbys frantic, he bolts to the oven, turns it on. Bobby stops, breathes heavy. Heat fills the kitchen. CODY Okay. What the hell is going on? They stay in the middle of the room. Bobby! Quiet... CODY BOBBY

CODY What is it B-Bobby puts his hand over Codys mouth. He watches as the windows thaw. BOBBY Its a demon. CODY Yeah, um, okay. BOBBY Im being serious. A demon? Yeah. As in? CODY BOBBY CODY

BOBBY As in a demon. CODY Like a demon? BOBBY No! A demon. CODY When you say demon, you mean? BOBBY A demon from hell, and its here to kill you. CODY Oh, now I get it. Cody laughs. CODY Youre a little late with the April fools gag. The burners turn off. BOBBY Shit. It cut off the gas. CODY A demon cut off the gas? Really? BOBBY Really. Okay, listen, kid and listen good. If anything happens to me, go to my house, under the bed youll find -GROWL! BOBBY Shit. Its coming. You gotta run, Cody. Run! CODY Um, Bobby, You on L-S-D? The room grows cold. The ovens and burners freeze over. CODY Okay, did you slip me some? BANG! BANG! BANG! Into the room steps BLAST, an eight foot tall, faceless ice demon. Its body is made from ice, its breath is visible.

16.

Cody looks on in awe. CODY A little big for a snowman. Cody run! Blast steps forward. BOBBY Its been a while, but to hell with it. Bobby stretches out his arms. He whispers something indistinct. A powerful blue glow comes from his palms, then fades. BOBBY Damn! No juice. Huh? CODY BOBBY

Blast steps forward, grabs Bobby by his throat, lifts him off the ground. BOBBY Cody! You better run! A CRACK and Bobby is frozen solid. Blast GROWLS at Cody then tosses Bobby to the side. Bobbys body slams into the stove, shatters on impact. Cody looks down, cant believe his eyes. Holy shit! CODY

Blast charges at Cody. Cody dodges, leaps over the counter. Blast picks up a table, throws it, cracks Cody in the back and sends him crashing through the shop window, out onto the EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS Cody crash lands hard on the concrete. GROWL! CODY What... the hell is goin on? Blast charges through whats left of the window. A few onlookers stare in amazement.

17.

Cody picks himself up, dusts the glass shards off. Blast charges, Cody turns, bolts. CODY What do you want!? Blast charges after him, freezes everything in his path. He grabs a parked car, freezes it solid, then launches it at Cody. Cody ducks, the car SWOOSHES by his head, crashes into a moving car. Cody takes a left onto a -BUSY STREET And keeps on running. Cody looks to onlookers. Run! CODY

They look at him like hes crazed. Blast comes skidding around the corner. The onlookers stare, jaws dropped. INT. SUPERMARKET - MOMENTS LATER A demonstration is taking place. A SALES MAN shows off a freezer to CUSTOMERS. SALES MAN This is no ordinary freezer, ladies and gentlemen. Cody falls through the doors, runs past the demonstration. The sales man and customers take notice then turn their attention back to the freezer. SALES MAN This is the coldest freezer on the market. Guaranteed to keep your meets frozen and in good quality for longer. Who wants to see the inside of this thing? The customers nod. The sales man opens the freezer door. Behind him, Blast bursts through the wall, takes most of the brickwork with it. Blast barges into the sales man, freezes him solid.

18.

The customers look on at the frozen sales man. A moment of silence. FEMALE CUSTOMER Ill take one! AISLE 8 Cody stands at the edge, hides behind a Pop Tart display. People SCREAM in the distance as the supermarket soon empties. CODY Shit, shit, shit! He takes a peek. GROWL! CODY Dont panic, Cody. Its cool. Youve got a giant demon made of ice trying to kill you. Its all good, its all good. AISLE 5 Blast takes large heavy FOOTSTEPS towards the frozen food section. It turns, looks at a bag of ice, the picture on the front of the packet looks a lot like him. Behind him, Cody dashes between aisles. AISLE 2 Cody crawls on his hands and knees. CODY Great idea, man. Run into a supermarket. What an idiot. Cody stands, leans up against a shelf. He peeks around the corner, sees the exit. Cody bolts towards the exit. Blast steps in front of him and charges. Cody turns, runs. In front of him he sees SARINA(30s), blonde, beautiful. She raises a grenade launcher. Duck! SARINA

Cody falls to his knees. BOOM! Sarina fires the grenade launcher. A grenade flies through the air, zips past Cody and into the HAND Of Blast. He looks at the grenade, then at Sarina. She smiles. SARINA What an idiot. BOOM! The grenade explodes, sends chunks of ice all over the supermarket. Cody turns, looks at whats left of Blast. Okay... CODY

Sarina walks over to Cody. SARINA Come on, lets move. CODY Move where? Who the hell are you? SARINA No time for questions, dumb ass. CODY Its Dumas. SARINA Okay, stop! Cody stops, turns just in time to see the GRENADE LAUNCHER Collide with his face, knocks him unconscious. INT. SEVEN ELEVEN STOREROOM - NIGHT A run down area, various signs and old food are visible. Cody is strapped down to a table. Still unconscious. Sarina stands, watches over him. The door swings open, in walks GABE(40), tall, African American.

The door swings open again, in walks MARSON(60), muscular, scared face. MARSON What did you tell him, Sarina? SARINA Nothing. He didnt give me chance. Wouldnt shut up. GABE I really dont like this. Bringing him here is dangerous. SARINA Thomas died for this, Gabe. Cody opens his eyes, sniffs the air. CODY Whats that smell? He looks to Sarina, Gabe then Marson. CODY Who are you people? He looks around. CODY Why am I in a Seven Eleven? MARSON Cody, were members of the hunters order. CODY The what now? Marson walks to the exit, he gestures towards Gabe. Gabe follows. MARSON Sarina... show him. They leave. Sarina turns to Cody, rolls up her sleeve. CODY Wheres that hand goin? SARINA You may feel some slight discomfort. CODY What are you gonna do?

SARINA Im going to take you back, show you the past... then youll understand. She places her hand on Codys forehead. CODY Okay, them guys can come back now. Um, guys! SARINA Brace yourself. Cody looks to the straps hes held down with. CODY Yeah, sure. Sarina closes her eyes. Silence. CODY It didnt work? Thats fine. Everything in the room lifts off the ground. CODY Its hurting, hey! Its hurting! Cody SCREAMS, shuts his eyes. INT. SALOON - NIGHT Cody opens his eyes, hes no longer strapped to a table. He looks, sees Sarina. Hey. SARINA

CODY Where the hell are we? SARINA Eighteen eighty eight. The Short Man sits and plays the piano. Cody stands next to him. SARINA He cant see you, dumb ass. CODY Its dumas. Cody looks to the bar, heads over.

CODY Wow, some real classics here. He moves for a bottle of whiskey, hand goes straight through. Sarina chuckles. SARINA This is a memory, Cody. You cant touch or change anything. The Cowboy walks in, stands behind the Short Man. Whos he? CODY

SARINA Your great grandfather. No shit. CODY

SARINA He was the first. CODY First what? SARINA The first hunter in your family. Cody watches as events play out. The Short man lunges, Cowboy shoots him dead. COWBOY Names Miles Dumas, demon hunter. CODY He just killed a demon with a gun? SARINA He invented it, pretty amazing actually. Cowboy turns. The Short Man twitches. CODY Hes alive. Hey! Cowboy! Um, Miles! The Cowboy still has his back turned. The Short Man rises to his feet. Cody dashes over. He tries to grab the Cowboy, hands go straight through.

CODY Hes alive. Get the hell outta here. SARINA He cant hear you. The Short man leaps onto the Cowboys back, bites into his neck. Sarina grabs hold of Cody, yanks him backwards into... INT. MANSION - NIGHT Cody lands hard on the marble floor. CODY Why did you show me that? He gets up. Sarina appears. SARINA He survived, dont worry. The demon infected him, gave him special... abilities, that in turn he passed on to his son... then his grandson... then-Me? Sarina nods. Cody looks around. He sees the ice door, wide open. The fire door next to it, still burning. In the centre of the room is Alric. He sits, meditates. CODY Where are we? SARINA This is now. Whos he? CODY CODY

SARINA His name is Alric. They step closer to him. CODY Why are you showin me him? SARINA Hes the one that just tried to make an ice cap outta you.

Oh-- why?

CODY

SARINA Hes a demon. Unlike any other. His sole purpose for being here is to open the gates. CODY Gates to what? ... Hell. SARINA

CODY If you know where he is why dont you just blow him away? SARINA There used to be ninety two of us. Now theres three. CODY Oh-- so am I something to do with the gates? I dont get it. Alric turns, looks Cody dead in the eye. CODY I thought he cant see us? He cant. SARINA

Alric stands, walks towards Cody. CODY You sure about that? Sarina grabs Codys arm, yanks him backwards into... EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT Cody falls back into some trash. Sarina appears, helps him up. SCREAMS can be heard, along with GROWLS. CODY Let me guess, were in the future now? Sarina nods. SARINA A possible future. Cars sit, abandoned. Buildings crumble. Fire everywhere.

SARINA If he opens the gates, this is what he unleashes. Pure hell on earth. CODY Why would he do that? SARINA Because his master wants him too. CODY His master, as in the Devil? Sarina nods. CODY Why the hell does he want me dead? SARINA Because in the past only three men have stopped Alric from opening those gates. The last man to do it was your father. DEMONS fly high above them, spread their wings, SNARL down below. CODY I just flip burgers and hustle people. SARINA Its time you started doing a lot more than that. She grabs his arm, yanks him back. INT. SEVEN ELEVEN - CONTINUOUS Cody lands hard on the ground. Sarina reaches out a hand, pulls him to his feet. Marson enters, followed by Gabe. MARSON Did he see? Sarina nods. MARSON Cody, can we talk? Cody hesitates. Sure. CODY

Cody leaves with Marson. Gabe glares at Cody as he walks out.

Sarina walks over, kisses Gabe on the lips. SARINA Dont worry. GABE The future of humanity rests with him. SARINA He can do it. Its fate, Gabe. Its in his blood. GABE You better hope he can stop it then. SARINA If he cant, theres always the alternative. GABE Marson wont like it. SARINA Neither do I, but if its the only way... They kiss again. EXT. PARKING LOT - SAME Marson walks with Cody through the deserted parking lot. CODY Where the hell are we? MARSON Somewhere safe. Cody holds his head. MARSON The trip can be a little tough. CODY Whats her deal? How does she do that stuff? MARSON Shes special, like you. CODY Are you guys X-Men or something? He hands Cody a bottle of water.

MARSON Should make you feel better. CODY No Bud Light? MARSON Your family is a thing of legend, Cody. CODY Oh yeah? Well how come I never heard anything about this? MARSON Your father wanted different for you. He hid you away. CODY He did a pretty piss poor job. He could have at least changed my name- and what kind of hunter calls his son Cody? Seriously? How am I supposed to invoke fear with that name? Cody Dumas, demon hunter? MARSON He didnt hide you by changing a name. That would never work. He hid you by assigning a guardian. One to watch over you. Cody thinks for a moment. Bobby? CODY

MARSON His abilities kept their eyes off you, but most importantly kept you off Alrics radar. CODY So Bobby was like a wizard? MARSON A warlock, yes. CODY And I still had to pay him! MARSON Only two other men knew of your location. Thomas was one of them. Alric took him... and Im sorry to say that he talked. CODY Whos the other?

Marson stops. Me. MARSON

CODY Im the only one that can stop those gates from opening? Marson nods. MARSON I know its a lot to ask. CODY What do I have to do? MARSON You have some techniques, they will manifest at the right time, Im sure of it. CODY I dont have any special powers. Sarina, shes amazing, she can do-MARSON Sarinas abilities are up here. He points to his head. MARSON Your abilities are physical. If we had time to train you-- but we dont. Maybe your fathers decision to hide you away, was the wrong one. CODY Can Alric be killed? Marson shakes his head. MARSON He is immortal. He will live forever, no matter what. Believe me, weve tried everything. CODY Then how do we stop him? MARSON Alric is looking for something. ALRIC People die. People like your friend in there. What? CRASH! A car rams into Alric, sends him high up into the air. He crashes to the ground as the car SCREECHES to a halt. Marson sticks his head out of the car window. MARSON Cody! Grab the stone! Cody looks down, sees the stone. He dashes, scoops it up and bolts to the car. Alric stirs. ALRIC Talk about surprises. INT. CAR - CONTINUOUS Cody leaps in the car. Marson in front, Sarina in the back, Danny driving. Danny steps on the gas. MARSON Danny, floor it! EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS The car speeds away. Buildings begin to crumble. Bits of rubble hit the hood. CODY No shit hes pissed. The road around the car crumbles away. Danny! I see it! Ya sure? MARSON DANNY CODY

Danny swerves, barley misses a falling building. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! CODY What the hell is that? The car jackknifes, hits the ground on its roof, spins then stops. EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS SCREAMS from nearby pedestrians. A helicopter spins over head. More rumbles as more buildings collapse. Cody pulls himself out of the car. He wipes blood from his forehead. Sarina gets out of the car, followed by Marson then Danny. DANNY Ill find us another car. Danny staggers away. In the distance, Alric paces towards them. MARSON Cody, go! Ill keep him here. What? No! Alric looks up at the helicopter. He holds up his hand, closes his fist. The helicopter spirals out of control and heads towards Cody. Look out! SARINA

Cody, Gabe and Sarina dive out of the way as the helicopter SLAMS into the ground. A huge EXPLOSION as the helicopter bursts into an inferno. Cody coughs as he inhales smoke. Cody, run! MARSON

Cody picks up some rubble and dashes into a INT. DERELICT BUILDING Alric leaps down in front of him, STOMPS into the ground so hard it causes a ripple effect that sends Cody on his back. Alric storms over to Cody, grabs him by his neck, lifts him off the ground. He takes the stone from Cody, looks at it, smiles then throws it away. ALRIC You cant hustle me, fool. Cody keeps a tight grip on the real stone. ALRIC Let it go, you idiot. SARINA (O.S.) How about you let him go... idiot. Alric turns, sees Sarina on the right, she holds a grenade launcher. Marson on the left, carries a rifle. ALRIC And what the hell would those things do against me? Alric drops Cody, fades into thin air. What the? MARSON

Cody squeezes the stone tight. ALRIC Shell die. I wont make it quick either. Cody takes a moment. He unclenches his fist, drops the stone then kicks it over to Alric. Alric smiles, pushes Sarina towards Cody. He picks up the stone. ALRIC Maybe I cant simply click my fingers and kill you, but I can still rip your damn head off. Alrics face changes to his demonic features. He walks fast towards Cody. Cody looks down as an orange glow comes from his palm. Alric charges. GROWL! Cody lifts up his hand. The orange glow blasts out a beam of light, sends Alric high up into the air, pushes him into the dark sky. The glow fades away. Shit! CODY

TRAIN TRACK - NIGHT A powerful steam train plows down the tracks full steam ahead. It pulls fifteen train cars. Instead of steam, fire comes out of the funnel. The train comes to a stop. Alric stands on the tracks. He holds up the purple stone. An army of human looking DEMONS stand behind him. Alric wears a sick smile. INT. HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT Cody lies on the bed, plays with his fathers knife. He stares up at the ceiling. Sarina enters. Cody sits up. She walks to the edge of the bed, sits down, faces away from Cody. SARINA When he grabbed me I saw it? Saw what? CODY

SARINA The machine hes using. The collector was right, its a train. A train? CODY

SARINA Hes using a train to cross dimensions and reach the gates. Now he has the stones, its over.

CODY Its never over, Sarina. SARINA Youre right. Its not. Sarina pulls a blade from her jeans, turns her head and sees a CRICKET BAT As it WHACKS her over the head. Cody drops the bat as Sarina hits the ground. LATER Sarina is strapped to the bed. Danny is strapped to a chair. Cody stands over them both, holds a shotgun. Sarina opens her eyes. DANNY Um, why am I tied to a chair? CODY I dont trust you. DANNY Come on, dude. Im blind. Cody stands over Sarina. CODY Im guessing this wasnt for peelin an orange? He holds up her knife. CODY You were going to kill me? Sarina shakes her head. CODY Im sorry about Gabe, and Im sorry about Marson. But I didnt kill them. Alric did. SARINA That isnt why I tried to kill you. CODY Oh, okay. Start talkin. He points the shotgun at Sarina.

Sarina lands on the bed. A few moments pass. Cody sits on the edge of the bed, hangs his head, thinks. He gets up, puts on a hooded jacket, zips it up. SARINA Where are you going? CODY I have a train to catch. SARINA Youre gonna try to stop it? CODY Im not sittin around here waiting for the end of the world, thats for sure. Feel free to come with. Sarina stays put. Fine. CODY

She sits up, reaches into her pocket and pulls out a map. SARINA Follow this. The train should be on this route. Cody takes it. CODY I may not be a hunter... but Im not the one giving up. Ill prove to you they didnt die for nothin. He turns, leaves. EXT. HELL TRAIN - NIGHT The hell train barrels along at ferocious speed. EXT. COUNTRY ROAD - SAME A Porsche Carrera speeds along. INT. PORSCHE - CONTINUOUS Cody sits in the passenger seat, grips his chair. Danny drives, huge smile on his face. DANNY I always wanted to drive a Porsche. Cody looks ahead at the uneven road. CODY Just watch the trees! Cody looks to his left, sees the hell train. CODY Thats one big ass train. Can you get us over there? DANNY You want me to drive on the grass? DANNY Any damage and I am not going to be happy. CODY Its not even your car. DANNY The note said I would return it if the world didnt end. I wanna make sure its in good condition. CODY Just get us over there! EXT. COUNTRY ROAD - CONTINUOUS The Porsche swerves, cuts over into the EXT. FIELD - NIGHT And barrels along unevenly on the grass. INT. PORSCHE - CONTINUOUS Cody and Danny bounce up and down. Happy now? DANNY

EXT. HELL TRAIN - MOMENTS LATER The Porsche speeds up behind the hell train. A large HELL BAT sits on the edge of the train. Skin made of flames, and large gargoyle type eyes. INT./EXT. PORSHE - CONTINUOUS Cody looks at the Hell Bat. CODY What the hell is that? DANNY I hear that... its a hell bat. Shit! CODY Is that bad? DANNY Considering its one of the things that got out the last time the gates opened... yeah, its bad.

The Bat glides through the air, lands on the hood. CODY Swerve or somethin, get it off! DANNY Watch the paint-work! The bat breathes fire on the windshield, cracks the glass. DANNY No! You son-of-a! Cody grabs a shotgun from behind the seat. DANNY Do you know how to use that? CODY Point and shoot? Sort of. DANNY

Cody loads it, pumps it, aims it at the bat. The bat breathes more fire, shatters the windshield. BOOM! Cody fires the shotgun. The bat leaps onto the hood of the car. CODY Did I hit it? DANNY I dont know. Im blind, remember! CODY Youre blind when it suits you, huh! Listen... DANNY

The Bat claws at the roof of the Porsche. DANNY Give me that! Danny takes the shotgun from Cody. He aims it at the roof. DANNY The one time I get to drive a Porsche. What happens? A freakin hell bat attacks me!

He fires the shotgun, it BLASTS through the roof, sends the bat spinning into the air. Cody sticks his head out the window, looks behind as the bat falls to the ground. Nice. CODY

EXT. HELL TRAIN - MOMENTS LATER The Porsche gains on the train. INT./EXT. PORSHE - CONTINUOUS Danny gets close to the side of the hell train. Cody undoes his seat-belt, pulls himself half way out of the window. DANNY You sure you can do this? CODY I know how this works, okay. Ive seen Indiana Jones, Ive played Uncharted. I think I know how to jump onto a train. DANNY Sure. But in which of those scenarios was the train in question a supernaturally powered locomotive burrowing towards hell? Cody freezes. CODY Good point. Cody! DANNY

Cody sticks his head back in. What? CODY

CODY You cant see the giant shit that just came outta my pants. Cody pulls himself out of the Porsche, hangs onto the side. DANNY No, but I can sure as hell smell it. They both laugh. Cody reaches out to the train. EXT. HELL TRAIN - CONTINUOUS Fire erupts from the funnel, startles Cody. He leaps from the Porsche, grabs onto the side of TRAIN CAR 15 And hangs on tight. The Porsche slows to a stop as the hell train continues on. Cody pulls himself up to the top of the train car. CODY Not so hard. He gets to his feet, steadies himself. More fireballs erupt from the funnel and rock the train. Cody staggers to his left, falls off the side of the train car, grabs hold with one hand. He swings from side to side, crunches his body into the train car. Crap! CODY

Cody struggles, reaches and pulls himself up. He picks himself up, nice and slow. Steadies himself. CODY A little harder than I thought. Cody runs and leaps onto TRAIN CAR 14 And lands a little easier this time. He spots a human like SKINNY DEMON on the next train car.

CODY Come on, Cody. Time to be a hero. Cody dashes forward, leaps onto TRAIN CAR 13 Runs with speed. The Skinny Demon turns, sees CODY As he pushes the Skinny Demon off the train car. Cody laughs, proud of himself. CRACK! Cody looks down, notices the roof of the train car is partially made of glass. Oh shit. The glass shatters. INT. TRAIN CAR 13 - CONTINUOUS Cody crash lands hard on the ground. He pulls glass from his arm. CODY What an idiot. Cody looks around. A group of human like DEMONS look on. Eyes glow blue. They surround Cody. He gets to his feet. CODY Whos first? GOTH CHICK demon charges at Cody. He steps back, dodges her ferocious attack. CHUBBY demon grabs hold of Cody from behind. Cody swings his head back, breaks Chubbys nose. Cody swings around, elbows Chubby in the face, then a huge forward kick sends Chubby crashing through the window and to the outside. GOTH CHICK charges again. Cody sidesteps, takes out his knife and slices her across the neck. She drops dead. Three more remain. UGLY TWIN demons look at Cody. CODY

CODY Man, you guys got it hard. Cody looks down at his hand as the orange glow lights up his palm. He smiles, looks towards the Ugly Twin demons. They both rush at Cody. He leaps over them, lands, spins around and blasts the orange glow at them. The orange glow splits into two and impacts the chests of the Ugly Twins. They both fly back and crash out the window. Cody smiles, a large shadow looms over him. He turns to look at HUGE ASS DEMON CODY So, yeah, youre a little bigger. Huge Ass demon plants his hands on Codys neck, lifts him and throws him backwards into a crate. Codys body crumbles the crate like a biscuit on impact. Ow, crap! CODY

Huge Ass demon STOMPS over, raises his foot high in the air. As he brings his foot down, Cody rolls out of the way. Huge Ass demon looks down at his hands. Razor like blades grow from his fingertips. CODY Thats new. Huge Ass demon charges Cody, swings his new claws, slashes everything in sight. Cody dodges, leaps and rolls out of the way. Huge Ass demon catches Cody with a slice to the face. Cody staggers back, grabs his face as it heals almost instantly. Huge Ass demon charges again. He raises his claws and slashes them down, rips Codys jacket to shreds. He grabs Cody, tosses him out of the train car window.

INT./EXT. TRAIN CAR 13 - CONTINUOUS Cody hangs on, stays right next to the window. He pulls a grenade from his pocket. CODY God, I really hope this works. He pulls the pin, throws the grenade into the train car. Huge Ass demon picks up the grenade, throws it up through the broken glass roof. Cody climbs up onto the roof, looks down, sees the grenade. CODY You gotta be kidding me. Cody leaps, kicks the grenade back down into the train car. Huge Ass demon picks up the grenade again. BOOM! The grenade explodes. Cody leaps into the air, just holds onto the back of TRAIN CAR 12 As Train Car 13 blows to pieces and takes cars 14 and 15 with it. Debris, demon blood and fire. Some debris hits Cody as the hell train slowly moves away from the explosion. INT. HELL TRAIN - FRONT CAR - SAME Alric stands next to the DEMON TRAIN DRIVER. He looks to the train driver, then turns his head back. Hes here. ALRIC

Alric sticks his head out the window, then back in. ALRIC He already met Blast. Lets see how he does against Inferno. TRAIN DRIVER Why dont you just go take care of him yourself? Alric rolls his eyes.

ALRIC I need as much energy as possible to get us down there. Now drive the damn train and shut the hell up. EXT. TRAIN CAR 10 - SAME Cody leaps onto the train car. He dashes along. More fire comes from the funnel up ahead. Cody watches as fire balls erupt and form into a giant fire demon. INFERNO is formed. CODY And behind door number two... EXT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS Inferno stands eight feet tall. Inferno GROWLS, breathes fire as it does. EXT. TRAIN CAR 10 - CONTINUOUS Cody steps forward, uneasy. CODY You gonna make a move or what? Cody watches as Inferno charges. EXT. HELL TRAIN - SAME The hell train crosses a lake. From afar, Inferno leaps from car to car, charges at Cody with unstoppable speed. EXT. TRAIN CAR 10 - CONTINUOUS Cody stays put, waits. Inferno gets close. Cody looks down, notices the lake below the bridge. CODY A little closer, you dumb shit. Cody turns, bolts and leaps onto TRAIN CAR 11

He turns looks back, Inferno is gaining. Cody runs, jumps onto the now final TRAIN CAR 12 He trips, falls flat on his face. Inferno gains, leaps onto the train car and STOMPS towards Cody. Cody gets up, dashes towards the edge. Come on! CODY

Inferno picks up the pace again, STOMPS fast towards the edge. Cody leaps out of the way. Inferno dashes past him and stops just at the edge. Inferno turns, sees Cody, takes a giant swing as Cody ducks. Cody charges forward and pushes Inferno backwards, off the train and into the lake below. Cody watches as Inferno sinks into the water. Steam comes from the surface. Cody scrunches his face up in pain, looks down at his hands. Third degree burns soon fade as his hands heal instantly. He turns, looks dead ahead and runs. INT. FRONT CAR - SAME Alric grabs the train driver. ALRIC You seriously better move your ass. TRAIN DRIVER Im going as fast as I can. ALRIC Not fast enough! Alric grabs the train driver, pulls back on his head, yanks it off. Alric puts the train into full power. The three purple glowing stones rest at the controls. Alric opens his arms, stretches them out. He closes his eyes.

EXT. TRAIN CAR 7 - SAME Cody looks dead ahead, the train shakes. He keeps steady. EXT. DARK FIELD - SAME Up ahead the ground begins to RUMBLE as the earth CRACKS. Dirt begins to sink. Soon a hole forms, then a crater. The dent in the earth gets larger and larger as the ground simply crumbles away. EXT. TRAIN CAR 7 - SAME Cody looks up ahead, feels the vibrations and sees the impact. Oh no. CODY

SARINA (O.S.) Hey, dumb ass! Cody looks to his left, sees the Porsche. Sarina stands on the hood. SARINA Wanna catch me? CODY Sarina? What the hell are you doin? SARINA I wanna prove they didnt die for nothing! A moment goes by. SARINA You gonna catch me or what, dumb ass?! Cody smiles. Hurry up! CODY

EXT. DARK FIELD - SAME The crater is now huge. The train track reforms itself, builds a track that goes beneath the surface into what looks like a never ending black hole.

EXT. TRAIN CAR 7 - SAME Sarina jumps, Cody sticks his arms out, just catches her. The Porsche slows to a stop. Cody loses grip with his right hand, holds on To Sarina with his left. I gotcha! Ya sure?! CODY SARINA

CODY I think so! Cody pulls her up, they rest for a moment. CODY You changed your mind. Sarina smiles, nods. They get up, look ahead. CODY What the hell is that? SARINA Hes opened dimensions. Alrics taking us down... To hell? Sarina nods. CODY We can still stop it. How? SARINA CODY

CODY We derail the train. INT. FRONT CAR - SAME Alric clenches his fists. So tight blood flows from his hands. ALRIC See you soon, father.

EXT. HELL TRAIN - SAME The train speeds along, gets closer to the crater. From afar, Cody and Sarina leap and run towards the front car. EXT. TRAIN CAR 3 - SAME Cody runs. Sarina grabs hold of him, stops. What? CODY

SARINA Hold onto something. Why? CODY

SARINA Were going down thats why! EXT. HELL TRAIN - SAME The hell train dips into the crater. EXT. TRAIN CAR 3 - SAME Sarina grabs Codys arm. SARINA We have to get inside! CODY We cant. Too many of em in the cars. Why do you think Im on the roof!? The train dips down. Cody and Sarina fall forward, land hard on the roof. Cody grips Sarinas hand as the train plummets. EXT. DARK HOLE - SAME The hell train plummets down with high speed. The track rebuilds itself piece by piece, forms a new route. EXT. TRAIN CAR 3 - SAME A gust of wind blows Cody back. He slides down the train car, hangs onto the edge.

Sarina crawls over to him. She holds her arm out, grabs hold of Cody. Come on! SARINA

The strong wind holds Cody up in the air. Sarina pulls him back on. They grip the side railings of the train car. SARINA This is about to get bad! CODY It gets worse!? SARINA Were about to cross dimensions! INT. FRONT CAR - SAME Alric opens his eyes. The reflection in his eyes turns to fire. He smiles. EXT. FIERY HOLE - CONTINUOUS The hell train bursts through from the dark hole. Fire surrounds the train as it plummets even further. EXT. TRAIN CAR 3 - SAME Cody pulls himself up as the fire engulfs the surrounding area. CODY Okay. This is bad! Cody helps Sarina up. CODY Were still gonna stop this train! How? SARINA

Cody takes out another grenade from his pocket. CODY Ive got a grenade thats how! EXT. HELL TRAIN - SAME The hell train speeds along.

EXT. HELL GATES - SAME Up ahead at the end of the track are the hell gates. Standing one hundred feet tall and built with fire, theyre shut tight. The train heads towards them. INT./EXT. FRONT CAR - SAME Cody lands on top of the train car. Alric looks up, hears the noise. Sarina lands next to Cody. GROWL! Sarina turns around, sees an ARMY of demons, all standing on top of the remaining train cars. Cody! SARINA

Cody turns, sees them. Sarina leaps down and starts unhooking the cars from the front car. The Army charges. Sarina unhooks it. The remaining train cars lose balance, wobble then tip over. The demon Army flies through the air as the train cars EXPLODE. Cody pulls the pin, holds onto the grenade. He looks ahead, sees the hell gates as they get closer. CODY Now or never. EXT. HELL GATES - CONTINUOUS Cody and Sarina fall through the air. Cody pulls Sarina on top of him as they fall to the ground with THUD. EXT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS Alric looks down, dusts his hands off. BOOM! The funnel explodes. EXT. HELL TRAIN - CONTINUOUS The front car blows into two halves. EXT. HELL GATES - CONTINUOUS The front car, in two halves, rolls to a stop in front of the gates. Alric is nowhere to be seen. Sarina pulls herself up, helps Cody to his feet. CODY How much do you weigh? Cody looks up. The train track remains in tact. He looks around. Its like a cave system, only fire engulfs the surrounding area. Come on! SARINA

They reach the gates. Sarina looks up as they begin to creak open. SARINA Were too late. CODY No were not. Cody dashes to the wreckage, quickly rummages through the debris. The gates creak open wider. GROWLS and SNARLS can be heard. Cody lifts up the glowing purple stones. He races back to Sarina. Cody squeezes each one tight.

SARINA Im sorry, Cody. It wont work. CODY It has too. Sarina takes the stones. SARINA Im sorry. It wont. They look at each other, then at the gates as they open wide. Behind the gates is simply a wall of fire. WINGED DEMONS fly up and out towards the earth. CODY Im sorry... Sarina shakes her head, tears in her eyes. Cody takes out his fathers knife. CODY One way left. Sarina hesitates, then nods. CODY Of all the ways to die, I guess this is the coolest. More SNARLS as the demons keep on flying upwards from the open gates. Wait. SARINA

She takes Codys necklace from her pocket and ties it back around Codys neck. SARINA You are a hunter, Cody. A damn good one too. Cody presses the knife against his gut. How do I? CODY

Sarina takes the knife from him. SARINA You just have to bleed and walk in, then they shut. Cody nods, breathes out.

CODY Okay. I got this. He hesitates, takes the knife back from Sarina. Cody walks to the gates, stands directly in front of the wall of fire. CODY I dont have a son. What? SARINA

CODY Someone to... ya know, carry this on... after Im dead. Sarina wipes tears away. Cody steps to the edge of the gates, closes his eyes. ALRIC (O.S.) Turn around, little boy. Cody freezes. He turns to see Alric holding Sarina by the neck. ALRIC We already played this game, and you know the result. Cody turns his head towards them, steps further towards the hell gate. Alrics eyes widen. He rushes at Cody. Cody pushes the knife towards his gut. Alric grabs hold of Cody, throws him backwards into the wreckage. Sarina runs at Alric, kicks him in the gut, then a hard hook to the face. He licks his lips. ALRIC Dont make me click my fingers, bitch. She goes for a roundhouse kick. Alric grabs her leg. SNAP! He breaks the leg. Sarina SCREAMS. Cody picks himself up from the wreckage. A metal rod sticks straight through his arm. Cody yanks it out. SCREAMS in pain.

Alric lifts Sarina by the throat. ALRIC Do you know how many times I killed Thomas and brought him back? Too many times to remember. Thing is, I aint brining you back, girly! Alric uses his free hand and punches a hole through Sarinas chest. Blood gushes from her mouth. Cody bolts over. Sarina! CODY

Her eyes close as she fades away. Alric pulls his arm out, drops her dead body to the ground. CODY You son of a bitch! ALRIC My mother was a real bitch, how did you know that? Cody and Alric charge at each other. They hit each other with great force and both fly back in opposite directions. Alric crashes into a rock wall. Cody lands in the dirt. ALRIC So you want a fight, huh? Hustle your way out of this one! Alrics features change to his more demonic face. He disappears then reappears behind Cody. Cody spins around, just in time to see Alrics FIST connect with his face. Alric unloads a series of hard punches one after the other. To the body, to the head, then the body. He pummels Cody with a hard uppercut, then a hard elbow. Cody drops to his knees, beaten. Alric kicks him in the face. Cody falls back, cracks his head on the stone. Alric listens.

ALRIC (deep voice) Hes almost here. Cody pulls himself up. His hand glows orange. He raises it, ready to strike. Alric grabs the hand, twists it back, breaks the bone. Cody SCREAMS in agony. ALRIC You dont know how you were made, do you? He gives Cody another hard punch, knocks him down. Alric grabs the back of Codys jacket, drags him across the rubble back towards the hell gates. He drops Cody down to the ground. ALRIC We all come from one place, Cody. Right here. He looks into hell. Home... ALRIC

Cody spits blood, tries to get to his feet. Alric pushes him back down. ALRIC Dont you see, Cody! I have to bring him back. So hell have mercy on me. The reavers are his worst enemies... Im his worst enemy. CODY Youre... youre a reaver? Alric kicks Cody hard in the face, keeps him down. ALRIC Im the first! Alric laughs. ALRIC Created to keep my father locked in that cage. Well no more. I will free him, show him Im not like... you. Cody looks up, spits more blood. Alric kicks him again.

CODY Thats why you do this? For acceptance? Cody laughs. CODY Hell never accept you. Alric stomps on Codys head. ALRIC Youre like me... a diluted version, but me all the less. We share the same blood, Cody. Cody looks up, smiles. ALRIC Were like brothers. Cody. Only Im the cool one. Cody pulls himself up, staggers back a little. Behind Alric, huge red eyes are visibly through the hell gates. CODY We share the same blood, Alric. Cody charges at Alric, lifts him off the ground and forces him towards the hell gates. CODY Only youre about to lose yours! Cody stabs Alric in the gut with the knife. He reaches the gates and tosses Alric in. As Alric falls backwards into the fire, his face changes back to human. No! ALRIC

The gates swing shut and push a huge demonic arm back into hell. Everything goes quiet. Cody falls back. He turns his head, looks to Sarina. She lies there, motionless. Cody gets up, staggers over and drops to his knees. Im... CODY

Cody puts his hands on her wound.

He hangs his head. A few moments pass. A blue light comes from his hands, it flows through Sarinas body, all the way up to her eyes as they open. She takes a deep breath, sits up fast. Cody jumps back. Holy shit! CODY AND SARINA

Cody gets up, helps Sarina to her feet. She looks down at her wound. CODY Youre not a ghost are you? Or a demon? Only half. SARINA

She smiles. They hug. CODY How did I?-SARINA Alric. Hell Reaver Yeah, I just read your thoughts. Sarina gets her breath back. She breathes heavy on Codys neck. He backs away, nervous. CODY Dont read em now. He looks down at her cut, she lifts her top. Completely healed. SARINA You share the same healing powers as Alric. RUMBLE. Rocks begin to fall. The ground shakes. CODY That doesnt sound good. SARINA Its not. The gap in dimensions is closing. They both look up.

CODY How do we get out? Sarina looks at the wreckage, then the train track. SARINA If Alric can do it... CODY What? You want me to rebuild the train? SARINA Just the front car. Cant be that hard. CODY Yeah, it looks hard. More RUMBLES as more rocks fall. SARINA Cody. You can do this. You just need to fix it up and turn it around. CODY Marson, he said my powers are physical-SARINA He didnt know Alric was the first reaver. More rocks fall. Cody! SARINA

CODY Alright, Im doin it! Cody looks down at the rubble. SARINA Concentrate. Imagine the train as you wanna see it. Cody closes his eyes. More rocks fall, crash into the ground. CODY God damn it! Cody opens his eyes. SARINA I think I can help you.

She grabs hold of him, hand on each shoulder. SARINA My abilities are in my mind. I can syphon your powers from deep down, pull them right up, help you use them. Do it. CODY

GROWLS, SNARLS up ahead. Rocks fall. The rumble becomes more intense. Sarina grips Cody tight. A purple glow forms around them, turns into a sphere like bubble. Wind blows through her hair. Cody shuts his eyes. A few moments pass. The bubble POPS. Sarina lets go. Cody opens his eyes, frustrated. CODY It didnt work. Im sorry. Sarina smiles. It worked. Huh? SARINA CODY

Cody looks to the wreckage, sees the front train car in tact. It faces the opposite direction, ready to take them up. CODY Now that is cool. INT. FRONT CAR - MOMENTS LATER Cody dashes to the controls. He looks down at them, turns to sarina. CODY This is where you come in. Sarina places the stones down. They click in place. The wheels churn as the train picks up pace.

EXT. HELL GATES - CONTINUOUS The train picks up pace as it heads upwards through the fiery tunnel. INT./ EXT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS Cody looks up. Rocks hit the train car, shatter the glass. CODY How long have we got? Not long. DEVILISH GROWL! CODY What the hell was that? Sarina looks to the back of the train car. Hell bat. SARINA SARINA

CODY They aint so bad. SARINA Giant hell bat. Oh. CODY

A GIANT HELL BAT grips onto the back of the train car and yanks off the roof. CODY Yeah, thats giant all right! The bat breathes fire. Get back! CODY

Sarina steps back. Cody stands tall, fires up the orange glow in his hand. My turn. CODY

He blasts the orange glow at the Giant Hell bat. It poofs as it hits the bats skin. CODY Did that even tickle?

The Giant Hell Bat keeps a grip on the train, rocks it from side to side, tries to take it off the tracks. The train climbs higher and higher as the bat tightens its grip. CODY How the hell do we get this thing off? The bat dips its head in the train car, gets right in Codys face. Cody stabs it in the eye with his knife. The bat SHRIEKS and GROWLS in pain. Cody twists the knife. The bat, swings its giant head, knocks Cody on the ground. The incline makes Cody fall as he slides to the end of the train car. The bat gets the end of the train car in its mouth, pulls it to shreds. All that remains of the front car is the front half, with no roof. Cody dangles off the edge. Sarina gets on her front and slides to the front of the car, grabs hold of Cody. The bat loses grip. It whacks each side of the car with its giant wings. Sarina loses grip, slides to the side. Cody gets himself back into the car. Sarina just holds on. The bat hits Cody in the back with a wing, knocks him towards Sarina. He grabs her just in time, lifts her back onto the car. SARINA Were almost there. EXT. DARK HOLE - CONTINUOUS The train car bursts through the rubble. The bat follows. INT./EXT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS The bat breathes fire at the train. Cody grabs Sarina, pulls her in front and shields her from the fire.

GROWL! CODY Its still comin. SARINA Destroy the stones, the moment we get topside! Cody takes his scorched, burning jacket off, dashes to the front. He picks up the stones. The hell bat whacks the front car so hard it tips on its side. Cody and Sarina fall, hit the side of the car hard. Cody loses grip of one of the stones. The stone! CODY

Sarina sees it. The stone slides towards the edge. She gets to her feet, slides and scoops up the stone just in time. EXT. DARK FIELD - CONTINUOUS The train shoots out of the hole, on its side. INT./EXT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS Sarina tosses the stone to Cody. As the car slide he gathers them all in his hands, squeezes tight. The bat sticks its head out of the hole. Cody crushes the stones. He throws the stones into the bats mouth, they explode into a blinding purple light. EXT. DARK FIELD - CONTINUOUS The bat claws as an unstoppable force pulls it back down into the hole. It claws, breathes fire and SHRIEKS as the ground around it builds back up. The Giant Hell Bat is gone. The train car slides along then comes to a stop. INT. FRONT CAR - CONTINUOUS Cody lies back, smiles then laughs, tooth missing.

EXT. NEW YORK - NIGHT SIRENS can be heard. SNARLS and GROWLS. EXT. ROOFTOP - NIGHT Cody stands, looks over the city. He holds his fathers necklace. Sarina walks up, stands beside him. SARINA Im sure he would have been proud. Cody nods, puts the necklace on. GROWLS and SNARLS from afar. They look up at the sky. Various winged demons can be seen high above. SARINA Did you sleep? CODY A lot of them got out. I wont sleep till we put them back in that hole. SARINA Good job the world has us then. Cody turns away, thinks for a moment then looks back at Sarina. CODY Im sorry... Im sorry I couldnt bring them back. A moment of silence. SARINA You tried-- What now? Cody looks up at the demons. CODY Now we have work to do. INT. HELL Flames everywhere. In the flames sits Alric, eyes shut. The flames around him die out. Darkness. In the darkness a pair of dark red eyes snap open. FADE OUT.
