-------------Introduction -------------Wassup is a simple application that displays aggregated data from multiple applications on the one screen. Wassup aggregates data from leading scheduling, SMS and mail applications - giving you the power and flexibility to see at a glance what appointments, tasks, emails and SMS's are outstanding for you on any given day. Currently Wassup can interact with the following scheduling applications: 1. Palm's Datebook 2. Palm's To Do 3. Pimlico's DateBk (versions 4 and 5 have been tested and DateBk+ used on Hands pring Visor's and Treo's) 4. Iambic's Agendus/ActionNames (version 5 tested) 5. KsDatebook from Hiroshi Kimura - Ver 1.1 (Japanese Hi-res Datebook replacemen t) Wassup interacts with the following Todo applications: 1. Palm To Do 2. Hands High To Do PLUS Wassup interacts with the following email applications: 1. Palm's Mail 2. Actual Software's MultiMail PRO (version 3 tested) 3. Eudora's Internet Suite Mail client 4. NetOrion's Mail+ 5. Handspring's Treo Mail service 6. Iambic Mail 7. Clie Mail 8. WebToGo Mail (www.webtogo.de) 9. Hezarts mMail and mMail+ (www.hezarts.com) 10. Dataviz InboxToGo and Dataviz Mail 11. Mark/Space Mail (www.markspace.com) 12. JP Mobile's One-Touch Mail (v4.0) 13. SnapperMail (www.snappermail.com) 14. VersaMail from Palm, Inc 15. Basejet Mail (any version *after* 1.0 Build 31 - www.basejet.com) 16. Electric Pocket's Mailer (v1.5.2 minimum) 17. e*Mail

Wassup interacts with the following SMS applications: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Palm SMS MonkeyMessenger (www.primatesys.com) PageNOW from Mark/Space (www.markspace.com) Treo SMS (now including Treo 300) funSMS Treo600 SMS

Wassup interacts with the following flight scheduling applications: 1. Time Travel (www.classactionpl.com) If Wassup doesn't currently interact with your chosen scheduling, task, mail, SMS or flight scheduling application let me know and I'll endeavour to add it to the next release. The same goes for other features you think might be use ful. -------------------IF YOU HAVE THE DEMO -------------------If you like the demo and would like to register it you can get an unlock code he re: http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=42044 -------------Installation -------------To install Wassup double-click on the Wassup.prc file. At your next HotSync Wassup will be installed onto your Palm OS device. If you have any skin files you can install them in exactly the same fashion. The n use the Skins menu option to specify which skin you want active. Lookout for skin files where you downloaded this software. They'll be free! If y ou'd like to create your own skin files get Wassup Skin Maker (free)!! http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=45843 NOTE: To remove Wassup you must ensure that the "Command Bar Support" checkbox i s turned OFF. If you attempt to delete Wassup with the checkbox active you will get an error. The reason is that to support the Command Bar launching Wassup kee ps a small database open at all times, and if you try to delete Wassup the syste m also tries to delete that database - but can't because it's open. A side-affec t of this is that the system deletes application preferences *before* the applic ation, so even if it can't delete the application the preferences are deleted so next time you launch Wassup you'll see it has defaulted back to it's original state. -------------What's New -------------1.4.4 * Fixed bug that broke support for many low-res devices 1.4.3

* Fixed numerous issues that Wassup had on the Treo 600, including unreadable fo nts, crash with Radar and others. * Added support for Treo 600 SMS application * Fixed issue with using "Color Theme"s on palmOne device 1.4.2 * Fixed problem introduced in 1.4.1 with "next appt in xx days yy hours zz minut es" * Added VFS memory info to the "Device Info" cell. Tap the Mem bar to cycle thro ugh built-in memory graph, percentage, vfs graph, percentage * Added battery saver option by allowing user to disable the hard buttons when t he device is off. Available from "Launch" dialog. This is of no use (and thus hidden ) on the Tungsten|T and W as up/down already scrolls launch pad and left/right s crolls the day. (Marco Fraatz) * Fixed display of hires icons from Datebk5 and Agendus (various) 1.4.1 * Fixed problem with "None" option leaving a hole in any active background * Made the launcher scroll arrows larger (sorry guys!) * Fixed problem where the "next appt in xx days yy hours zz minutes" was getting it wrong when you only had repeating events on a day * Fixed broken Treo 180/270 SMS support * Fixed a problem where applications assigned to the launchpad that resided on a n expansion card could get "lost" if you switched cards. 1.4 * Added SnapperMail email support * Added support for Basejet Mail * Added support for Electric Pocket Mailer * Added funSMS SMS support * Added "0 days" (ie today only) look-ahead option for Tasks * Added ability to add new tasks and appointments direct from Wassup * Added preference to disable the second hand on Radar view * Added Prefs menu to Radar view * Added small font support for Appointment cell with OS 5 * Added Expansion card (VFS) support to Launchpad, and increased number of apps in launchpad to 15 for all devices (the launchpad now scrolls on all devices oth er than Sony NX/NR). * Added ability to Beam Wassup application direct from Wassup * Added new registration method * Fixed bug with ToDoPLUS being ignored if Agendus or Datebk were installed * Added command bar launch support * Added support for Tungsten|T directional pad (dpad). Al so supports SnapperMail in this respect (ie you can import Wassup directly into a SnapperMail outgoing email). * Added up-time display to Battery info. Records the actual amount of time your device has been "on" since the last time it had power connected to it. Palm bran ded devices with OS 4.0 and above only (requires Universal Connector) * Changed LaunchPad on T|T's to use the Select and Nav buttons so you can scroll around (it's now a LeepPad, not a LaunchPad!) :-) * Fixed SMS support for Treo 300 customers * Fixed display of long app names in launchpad on hires Clie devices (happy Drew ? :-) ) * Changed "next in" Appointment display to take into account the actual time to the displayed appointment relative to "today". There were a few stray pi xels being left behind. * Fixed bug with taps in the Radar appointment slip being passed through to the Datebook. 1.3.1 * Added immediate notification of attach/detach from cradle to update battery ba r (yeah, it was bugging me too!) * Added new graphical popup configuration menu * Fixed bug with using third-party scheduling app (Datebk5 or ActionName/Agendus ) on Handspring devices * Fixed bug with long names overlapping in Launch Pad on Sony Hires devices (the y now truncate using ellipsis) * Fixed problem with Dataviz Mail not being correctly recognised * Extended Task look-ahead to include a "1 day" option * Fixed bug with not having Wassup assigned to Datebook button - it would assign to a random application instead of back to Datebook. * Fixed minor display issue with battery bar * Fixed bug with support for hires greyscale Clie devices (eg T415) * Fixed bug with displaying details from TreoMail 1.3 * Added Radar support for OS 3.5 (and above) grayscale devices * Added ability to configure what is shown in Main view. Let's you specify a day to view using the standard Day picker. * Beaming, Sending (SMS, Bluetooth etc) and deletion of skins * Display HiRes icons for Launch Pad (where possible) * Added category picker for Tasks (tap on Task icon to select Category to view) * Now display's icons from both Datebk5 and ActionNames for appointments and tas ks * Added ability to Beam or Send (SMS, Bluetooth etc) an application directly fro m the Launch Pad. Simply tap and hold for half-a-second to see the options. * Added support for Hands High Software's ToDo PLUS * Added support for Time Travel from Class Action. You next flight details will be displayed, including flight number, departure and arrival ports and countdown to both departure and arrival. * Added Dual Time support by working with Class Action's fantastic Time Place (w ww.classactionpl.com). Dual Time allows you to view secondary time zone informat ion along-side your current time. * You can now display arbitrary timed data from an external database. Eg create a database with your train/bus timetable, pill schedule etc and have Wassup disp lay what is the next upcoming "thing" (train, bus, pill to take, whatever). You can create this data in one of two ways: 1. Create a Memo Pad entry with the following structure: ##WASSUP_DATA##<carriage return> <Lead in text title><carriage return> - (eg. "Next bus", "Next pill" etc) hh:mm<space><text><carriage return> - (eg. 15:05 Express Train to City) hh:mm<space><text><carriage return> The times must be in 24hr format, and the items must be sorted chronologically. The last item needs a carriage return also. Now go back to Wassup and select "Im port" from the menu. Easy. 2. Create an external database. This external database can be created by any PDB creation tool (I used PDBConverter in my tests - http://www.palmgear.com/softwa re/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=16193 - great tool and free). The details are as foll ows: DbName: Not crucial, but something like "Wassup-TimedData" is probably a good id ea. Creator: WsUp Type: ArbT First record contains the lead-in text (ie "Next train" ) The following records then contain the event time in fixed zero-padded 24-hour t ext format (eg 13:05, 05:45 etc), followed by a NULL terminator, followed by the event description (eg Platform 3 City Express) This format is fixed - if you create an incompatible database Wassup will likely misbehave.

If you are using PDBConverter then once yo have entered your data and the databa se details (name etc), select File->Save PDB->as records with variable length fi elds (Ctl Sft F1). It will then prompt you for a file name (enter Wassup-TimedDa ta.pdb). It may then ask about generating code for NSBasic, you can say no to th is. Finally it will ask if you want to Install the new PDB, select Yes or No as appropriate. ========================== 1.2 * Added the new Radar view (not in Demo version) which graphically depicts what' s on your radar for any given day. Access the Radar view by tapping on the Appoi ntment icon in the Main view. Normal appointments are drawn as segments in the R adar, while zero-duration events are drawn as little blobs on the perimeter of t he Radar. Appointment segments can be filled in 3 ways, full (slow), fast, or bl ob (similar to zero-duration events). Tapping a coloured segment or blob on the radar displays all the pertinent information. Tapping again on the displayed app ointment slip will launch your selected scheduling application. The Radar view i s only available on colour devices. * Display day of week in date/time information * Fixed bug with Prefs screen incorrectly displaying information * Added nicer icons to main view, including much better hires icons for hires So ny devices. * Added a user configurable 5-button Launch Pad to the main view (removed Owner info as most users deemed it useless). Adam are you happy now?! :-) * Added standard Datebook week-day controls to main view and Radar view * Palm OS 5 ready! Thoroughly tested on Palm OS Simulator with Gremlins (1,000,0 00+ Gremlins) * Appointments that are active (ie they are on "now") and Tasks that are due or overdue are displayed in the highlight colour for current appointments on the Ra dar view (default red) * Added Iambic Mail and Clie Mail support * Task info tells you how many tasks are due "today" and "tomorrow" based on cur rent day displayed. This info is only shown if "Show To Do Due Dates" is checked in the Prefs. (nice idea Drew!) * Task info also tells you of overdue tasks in two ways. The number overdue will be displayed beside the number of active tasks, and overdue tasks will be displ ayed in bold and coloured (as per active appointments) in the task list. * Skinnable icons! The icons displayed on the main view can now be dyncamically changed by simply installing a skin file. The tools to create the skin files are kinda (very!) rough - so for the time being contact me if you want to create a skin file and I'll let you know the process. It mostly involves you creating the images, then sending them to me. I'll then create the skin file and email it ba ck to you. There is no plan to charge for this service! Look out for new skin fi les where you downloaded this software. * Added preference to toggle the display of separator lines between cells. Mainl y added for skin designers (so they can do skins that use all vertical space) * Appointment info cell displays a countdown to the next appointment for the day . The colour of the coutdown is as per active due/overdue Tasks. * Added Internet time (Swatch Beat Time) display where OS >= 4.0 * Added support for Sony's Jog Dial(tm) * Sony Hi-Res+ teaser - let me know how you'd like this extra real estate used! * Increased width of popup to let you see more details of appointments and tasks . 1.11 * Fixed bug specific to non Hi-Res Sony Clie devices (ie s320, s360 etc) 1.1 * Updated to work on OS 3.1 systems (no launch on power-on avaiable, sorry)

* Fixed potential selection problem with Task and Appointment lists * Fixed drawing of Priority flag in Task list * Fixed issue with m100 not having a Mail client * Added Hi-Res support for Sony Clie devices * Potential chunk-overlock bug with Task list * Time now displayed in format specified in Prefs * Alarm icons in Appointment list * Ability to define whether 3rd party apps are launched or not * Battery charging display * Now obey's privacy preferences (ie hide, mask or show private records) * Tapping on battery or memory bar displays corresponding numeric value breifly on screen * Tapping Date/Time cell launches either DateTime Pref, Clock application or Gen eral Pref depending on your OS/device version. * Added support for Treo Mail * Fixed bug where Wassup would crash if set to wake up on power, and Silver Scre en was active. * Extended Open at power-on by adding an inactivity period poplist. ie You can t ell Wassup to launch only if the device has been asleep for 1 hour, or 2 hours. ----------------Legal Stuff ----------------Portions copyright (c) 2002 Palm, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
