Specificobjectives are relatedtoeachsession. These shouldbealwayslinkedtoandrevisited inlightoftheoverallgoalsandobjectives. Thesewillbedevelopedalongwithdeveloping theworkshopstructureandagenda.

Settingspecificobjectives
Writespecific,measurable,andachievable objectives. Mapcontenttopicstospecificobjectives. Findresources,tools,information, simulations,andothercontenttohelpmeet eachofyourobjectives. Reviewtomakesurethecontentand objectivesarehelpingtraineesachievethe overallgoal andobjectives.

SettingGoalsandObjectives
Expectedoutcomes:needtobedefined. Theoutcomeshouldalwaysparticipatein achievingtheobjective,bothattheoverall andthespecificlevel. Sometimes,participantsexpresstheir expectationsfromtheworkshop,andthis leadstoamendingsomesessionsonlyifsuch amendmentdoesnotchangetheobjective.

FactorsConsideredinSetting Objectives:
Knowyouraudience:theireducation,their experienceandtheirprofessionalbackground ConsidertheLimitationsoftheaudience:lack ofresources,unavailabilityoftechnicaltools, considerationsrelatedtoperspectivesand traditions. DefineExpectedtime:howlongtheworkshop willlast,howmanyhours,prayertimes? Certaintraditions?

TrainingStructureandAgenda Development
Oncetheoverallgoalandobjectivesareset, youneedtodevelopthestructureofthe training. Theagendawillbedeterminedbythe structureandthespecificobjectivesyouset foreachsession.

Whatisthestructureofthetraining?
Thespinalcord ofthetraining. Thelogicalsequenceofcontentpiecesthat makeupthecoreofthesessions. Itshouldhaveaflow,eachsessionbuilton thepreviousones,togetherachievingthe overallgoalsandobjectives. Itshouldhaveaspan:dynamicsalsoneed tobeconsidered(e.g.lowandhighenergy sessions,peak,chillout etc.).
