DESCRIBE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF JUE 300 MODULES IN HELPING YOU IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH.

Since I received my English module, I have spent more than two times to read and do the exercise in the module. If not mistaken I have started my reading in August and do some the exercises. I have finished all the units and also did the exercises given in the portal. Furthermore, I have referred other resource in doing the exercise. The good articles or themes will affect my study habit. I will focus more in what I am interested such as current issue in the news paper or Televisions news. The module helps me to summarize, review and highlight all the ideas in order to develop comprehension in my reading skill. For reading and doing the exercises, I used to spend about two times. Sometimes, I have to refer to the dictionary to find the correct meaning of the exact words given. Moreover, both passage and exercises in the JUE 300 module giving me more vocabulary than before. My listening skill also improved and I used to learn accurately on listening to the exercise about two or three times depends on what topic has been given. I am also trying to do the exercise so many times which were upload in the portal. Furthermore, I also spend listening skill through watching English movies and listening to the English radio channel and songs daily. Once I learn about reading comprehension and listening skill, at the same time my speaking skill also improve. I preferred to spend much more time on exercise in all units in order to improve my skill. Normally I used to speak in English with my colleague

and students. Occasionally I will speak on related topic which is related to my interest such educational issue, student discipline etc. Previously, frankly speaking, my grammar was not so good enough. I felt ashamed sometimes when I use to speak in a broken English language. Once I learned the grammar in this subject, I knew how to use basic grammar such as tenses, preposition use, adjectives and adverbs and more in correctly. For grammar exercise I have spent more time with the aim to improve my English especially in writing and speaking. In addition, I also spend time on other resources. As conclusion, by learning this module such reading comprehension, listening, speaking for two or three times a week, gave me greater desires to learn the English language

for both utilitarian and academic reasons. To me, JUE 300 is not just about learning English, its about building up my confidence in public speaking
