The CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They will be a
garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. (Proverbs 1:7-9)

Weekly Theme: “The Ministry of Youth”

1. Pray for the youth pastors Manny Low and Chris Chu in their serving youth ministry.
2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead our church members to build up a family altar to praise and
worship God together as a family; Pray that the parents’ serving God at church can set up
good examples for their children, and bring blessings to their children.
3. Pray that God will keep our youths away from temptation and evildoing. Pray that God will
lead our youths to long for His words, to walk with Him, to respect parents, and lead parents
to discipline their children with heavenly wisdom.
4. Pray for the four current church’s key goals: church expansion, church planting, pastor
search, and new elder nomination.
5. Pray for the mission organizations:
Organizations: Chinese Gospel Broadcasting Center, Inc., Christian Witness Theological,
CASA. Missionaries: Keli’i & Patty Akina, Joe & Joyce Lee. Seminary student: Becky
Pigott, Columbia International U. Pray for the peace and safety of those brothers and sisters
including Dorothy Chen who are on oversea short-term mission.

--- English Ministry / Youth Ministry:

1. Motive. Pray that candidates would come with a desire to know God and be known by Him, and no
other reason.
2. Understanding. Pray that baptism candidates would understand that relationship with God comes by
His grace alone, not by any good works (including baptism). Pray that they would really recognize
their sinfulness and uselessness without God, and embrace the love of a Savior who would love and
embrace them anyway.
3. The work of the Holy Spirit. Pray that God would use this baptism class and interview process to
mold, refine, and search out the hearts of each person candidating for baptism. Pray that He would
personally speak to each of them in the course of the next month
4. Please pray our youth as they prepare for the 30 hour famine. Pray that they would know the God's
heart for justice and compassion in the world.
5. Praise God for Elder Yang's Ambassadors of Grace testimonies and performances here in the East
Coast. Pray for the rest of their travels on the West Coast and that more prayer and financial support
may be raised for CASA.
6. Please pray for Jim LeMaster, the English speaker of our Missions Conference, as he prepares for two
messages and two workshops he will present during the weekend of March 27 – 29.
7. Prayer for the English council meeting tomorrow night (3/19).
8. Please pray our youth as they prepare for the 30 hour famine. Pray that they would know the God's
heart for justice and compassion in the world
9. Please pray for the High school Sunday School teachers: Pray for God to safeguard the physical and
spiritual well being, and bless them with the wisdom and patience.
