. Responsible for of Bell Hotel, Chennai. Reportability: The Vice President, Bell Hotels Pvt.Ltd JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: Responsible for the overall functioning of the hotel, meeting or exceeding budgeted targets for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.

Develop & Implement the annual plan using the STRATEGY MAP framework, linking the hotels objectives to the companys overall strategy.
Financial 1. Meets or exceeds budgeted revenue and profitability for the hotel. 2. Forecasts revenues/expenses. 3. Anticipates revenue/cost concerns and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow. 4. Analyzes financial and operational information on an ongoing basis to modify business plans, staff requirements and operating costs. 5. Ensures hotel staff is well trained in I C M, and the procedures are followed. 6. Produces accurate, timely financial reports. 7. Identifies major revenue and expense opportunities and possible concerns.

Managerial
1. Maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel. 2. Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs. 3. Ensure all hotel staff, including new recruits, knows all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards; develops added value customer service programs.

4. Assist team leaders in meeting and exceeding goals.

5. Empower hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance. 6. Ensure hotel standards contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service.

Recruitment and performance Appraisal /Management of the staff in the department: Co-ordinate

with human resource functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, and performance planning and evaluation, pay and reward programs to maintain a qualified work force. Human resources Payroll & related expenditure control, optimum manpower etc.

Marketing and Sales Develop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize sales. Ensure that marketing and sales plans are appropriate for each sales period, including special plans to maximize room revenue during forecasted low occupancy. Operations 1. Compliance to local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel. 2. Recognizes and corrects potential safety hazards. 3. Recognizes and corrects potential security concerns. 4. Understands and follows policies and procedures for the hotels internal control measures and ensures others are trained in the same. 5. Maintains standards by preventive maintenance programs and by scheduling equipment -cleaning activities. 6. Ensures ongoing staff and employee involvement in preventive maintenance programs. 7. Conducts property quality audits. 8. Daily inspection of rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.
