- Church Family Rick Vander Veen continues to struggle with health issues as he has now been advised to undergo back surgery. He will seek a second opinion and coverts your prayers during this trying time. Nelly Overduin, Pastor Hans Overduin's wife (from our Calgary FRC church) suffered multiple seizures last weekend and was hospitalized. The family is thankful for her recovery this week and the doctors hope she will be released this weekend. Please pray for the treatment being applied by her doctors, and for strength for Pastor Overduin and the family. - From The Consistory Visitors, welcome! We hope you are blessed through worshiping with us this Lords Day. Today, we welcome Rev. Maurice Roberts of Scotland to our pulpit. Next Sunday, Dr. David Murray will preach for us, Lord willing.

The Sunday School & Catechism classes (beginners 7th grade) are asked to meet upstairs today. The Psalter of the month is #24: 1, 2 & 3. Please review with your children. Please pray for the consistory as it plans to consider nominations for (2) elders and (2) deacons for a new term beginning in late June. The terms of elders Andy Vanden Toorn and Ron Rittner and deacons Dwight Prince and Roger Osmun expire in June. May the Lord give wisdom and send us men whom he has already prepared (Acts 1:24).

Please join the talented voices of the Musica Sacra Chorus from southwestern Ontario for a God-glorifying evening of music and worship on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 7:30pm at East Congregational United Church, 1005 Giddings Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. A free will offering will be taken to benefit the Girls Home in Tenjo, Colombia, a Word & Deed supported project that seeks to bring spiritual, emotional and physical healing to young girls who have been abused or abandoned. Mission Update With the initial translation of the Bible to Achi complete, the focus is to finish the remaining steps so that the Bible can be printed. The partnership we formed with Guatemala Bible Society allows us to do the final consultation check in a more timely fashion. The GBS have qualified people who can do this task and be dedicated to doing the work so that the checking can be completed within the next several years, 2-5 years vs. 10-15 years. They also give assistance and credibility to the printing and promotion of the new translation. More information is available at www.frcmissions.org.
