do with my life. Science has always been a passion of mine, and medicine in particular has interested me for some time. Dedicating my life to improving the lives of others is very appealing to me. I believe this program will offer me valuable skills that cannot be taught in the classroom. Strengths that I will bring to my abroad experience include exemplary

leadership and social skills, Numerous leadership positions have trained me to unearth creative solutions to challenges, organize my experiences in the community for the purposes of both engagement and reflection, and socially navigate among diverse personalities and power differences. career family tradition, others have experienced medicine as a patient, some have an interest in science, a minority have wanted to become a doctor or a physician since the dawn of time and many just feel that they want to help people, I am one of the last batch of students who just want to help humanity.

y family background has greatly influenced my desire to

become a physical therapist. My very dear caretaker who I was very close with died suddenly of a heart attack when I was 14 years old. Losing her so young has taught me that life is precious, and also that we need to take good care of our bodies to enjoy life as much as possible. Thus, health promotion and maintenance are my key areas of interest. I somehow knew from the time I was 11 that I wanted to be in the medical field but the reasons why have changed over the years. I am a different person than I was at nineteen, blindly negotiating the challenges of university life, caught in an endless stream of students running the same academic rat race trying to become doctors.

develop an even greater understanding of human anatomy and physiology. I want to live up to my full potential by serving patients as their doctor and working to provide them with the best quality of care. I have a passion for learning about other cultures and supporting communities in their efforts to develop and grow. As a result, I look forward to spending some time practicing physical therapy overseas, continuing to expand my knowledge about other ways of life and trying to meet the health care needs of people in different countries.
