BRIEF BIOGRAPHY MAJID M. NAINI, PH.D. Dr.

. Naini is a mesmerizing speaker, acclaimed author and poet, prominent scientist and inventor, peace advocate, and one of the worlds foremost Rumi scholars and translators. Dr. Naini earned a B.S. in Electronics Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computer Science, where he graduated first in his class. Professor Naini was awarded a highly prestigious Teaching Fellowship and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from University of Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the first electronic general-purpose computer in the world. Dr. Naini has been a Professor, Department Chair, and College Dean at major universities throughout the world, such as University of Pennsylvania, Hawaii, American University in Cairo, Colorado, Florida, etc. He has been a Full Professor at four major universities throughout the world. Throughout his career, Professor Naini has consistently received one of the highest teaching evaluations from his students. He has also been the recipient of multi-million dollar research grants and funding from numerous prestigious high technology companies such as IBM, Motorola, Siemens, Texas Instruments, Logical Devices and Florida High Technology and Industry Council. Dr. Naini has been an active researcher, the designer of several state-of-the-art Computer and IT projects, and the author of many innovative books and papers in the fields of science, technology, mysticism, and inspiration. Dr. Naini has traveled over 400,000 miles after 9/11, devoting his life to promote world peace and to enhance the understanding and communication among people of all cultures, faiths, and backgrounds. In his programs he talks about the latest discoveries and research in science and technology intertwined with the astounding ancient wisdom and words of Rumi, Hafez, Khayyam, and other mystics. He has been honored as a distinguished keynote or main speaker at the United Nations and over 500 national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, talks, and programs with some of the most distinguished authors, academicians, artists, and Nobel laureates. Dr. Naini has been featured in over 500 newspapers, magazines, websites, and TV and radio shows world-wide, including PBS, CNN, NBC, international TV stations, Radio 670 AM in Los Angeles, Persian Radio, San Francisco Chronicle, Florida Sun Sentinel, Huffington Post, Iran Times, international magazines and newspapers in Turkey, India, Malaysia, Iran, etc. Dr. Naini was also chosen from among all of the Rumi scholars in the U.S. by celebrated American composer Shawn Crouch to collaborate on a new musical work, The Garden of Paradise, for which he selected and translated some of the most beautiful of Rumis poetry about love and peace. This piece was commissioned and performed by the Grammy Award winning ensemble Chanticleer. He is also the author of many books and articles including Mysteries of the Universe & Rumi's Discoveries on the Majestic Path of Love, which has also gained international recognition and is being translated into different languages including French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Persian. It has been widely read in Japan, Spain, France, England, Italy, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, U.S., Mexico, Austria, Brazil, Netherlands, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Australia, and many other countries. It is being used as a text and reference at many major universities and organizations throughout the world, including University of Pennsylvania, Hawaii Pacific University, Toki University, Kent State University, Rutgers University, City University of NY, Santa Monica College, Rumiyoga Center, and many other spiritual and yoga centers, etc. Professor Nainis work is used by around half a million websites all over the world, and his work is cited and quoted by numerous websites, radio/TV programs, and printed materials.

Dr. Naini is in the process of completing 3 new exciting books in which he discusses the latest discoveries and advancements in science, technology, psychology, medicine and mysticism, and relates them to the human endeavor and journey of life in time and space on this earth and beyond. One of the books is about the mind-body-spirit relation and mystical balance and 12 easy steps to follow. The other 2 books are also very unique since Dr. Naini combines his extensive background in science (especially quantum physics, electromagnetics, technology, neural networks, medicine, biology, neurology, and neuropsychology) with the most magnificent teachings and wisdom of renowned Eastern and Western seers, sages, and mystics such as Rumi, Hafez, and Khayyam, Native Americans, and others. Dr. Naini was an invited guest by the Turkish government and the Mevlana International Foundation for Rumis huge wedding night celebration in Konya, Turkey. After his beautiful talk, he was named, "Rumi's Nightingale." He met the Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, and many dignitaries. Dr. Naini was honored to be a keynote speaker at the anniversary of the passing of Molana (Rumi). This is the most important event honoring Rumi, and around 50,000 people from all over the world travel to Konya to memorialize him. He was interviewed by newspapers and Turkish and American radio stations live from the ceremony.
