Workers Safety Handbook

Always work within theplatform.

Always check the OK/Safe For Use Tag on scaffolding beforeuse.

Wear your safety harness and secure it to an anchoragepoint.

DO NOT use scaffolds without top and/or midguardrails. Check that scaffolds are tagged and certified safe by Scaffold Supervisor before use.

Floor openings should be properly barricaded orcovered.

DO NOT use shortcuts, they are unsafe.

Maintain three points of contact when climbing/ descending a ladder.

Practice good housekeeping.

DO NOT use forklift to reach higher areas.

When working on hanging scaffold, wear a safety harness. Anchor it to an independent lifeline.

Unauthorised modification of scaffold structures is strictlyprohibited.

Safety harness must be worn

Obey warning signs.

Do not use chairs or stools to climb up to the mezzanine floor. Use the stairs instead.
