Change 1. On Events- The monthly seminars are good, but I have observed some strain on the workforce.

Aggregated quarterly sessions (more like mini user conferences) could be considered. Clifford was of the idea that they run through our different regions I.e. Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia gearing up to the User Conference. There is a definite overkill on the technical sessions. The company may look into one monthly session, with a repeat session done as a webinar. This will provide an opportunity to engage with regional clients as they participate in the webinar (the gotomeeting solution could be handy). 2. On providing basic data- For growth, and mostly for sustainability, could consider offering basic data as a value-add to software requests. I understand being a mainstream data provider is not only costly but engaging. 3. On our website- I agree it would be a huge task to change the company's content management platform, but I have found it very limiting for the graphic designer, web developer and writer. A better approach would be to take a look at solutions such as Drupal or Expressionengine. I understand Esri as a whole is pushing for a more integrated platform across the distributors and regional offices (Sitecore) which may contribute to consistent content management. 4. On Training- A good opportunity for empowering staff, departments could be collectively training departments on essential skills for their line of work. The sales team could perhaps be taken through short communication skills training (at the nearby British Council for example, or at the). Good retaining measure, and also empowers staff. 5. On Teamwork & Communication- Salesforce chatter provides a great avenue for keeping everyone in tabs of what is going on. Microsoft Sharepoint is a great way to manage resources, and it should be encouraged. Quarterly departmental team building sessions could be a great way to improve teamwork by providing a more open forum to deliberate on challenges, celebrate victories and chart the way forward, as a team. It does not have to be fancy. 6. Collaboration/Innovation- I also suggest adopting something similar to for sharing ideas, or www.suggestionox.com for anonymous staff feedback. I am of the opinion staff has a lot to air out but are lacking a suitable avenue to do so. Extras On Meetings- Meetings are important. They make decision making faster and projects more effective as they bring different viewpoints together. I however feel that cross-functional meetings should not necessarily be face-to-face. Integrated Project Management solutions such as Mindjet may do the trick.
