JOB OVERHEAD Equipment: Rental, Delivery, Loading, unloading, erecting and dismantling. Personnel: Salaries, fringe benefits and payroll taxes for superintendent, foreman, timekeeper, clerk, watchman, etc. Field Office: Rental, telephone, electricity, office supplies. Temporary Facilities: Light and power, water, sanitary facilities, fuel, gas for welding, roads, stairs, barricades, runways, fences, toolshed, warning lights, heat and winter protection, fire protection. Permits: Building, street, sidewalk, water, sewer, gas, for transporting heavy loads over city streets, for use of city dumps. Quality Control: Soil compaction tests borings, concrete tests for aggregate, slump and strength, manufacturers and material suppliers certifications and samples. Meetings and Submittals: As-built drawings, progress photographs, shop drawings, schedules, progress reports, job meetings. Transportation and Freight: Railway, trucking demurrage, unloading. Coordinating Other Tasks: Cutting and patching inspection of subcontractor work. Final Cleanup: Patching touchup, cleaning or replacing broken glass, cleaning and polishing floors, fixtures, etc., final inspection, janitorial work, hauling debris. Bonds: Surety, labor and materials payment bond, performance bond, bid bond, completion bond, supply bond. Insurance: General liability, automobile liability, workmens compensation, fire and storm, theft, damage, contractors equipment floater. Protection: Safety requirements, dust proofing adjoining structures, finished work. Repair: Sidewalks, streets and curbs. Miscellaneous: Surveys, professional assistance from engineer, attorney, share of general company overhead, cold weather protection, real estate taxes, sales taxes, contingencies, wear or loss of small tools.

SITE EXCAVATION AND SITEWORK Demolition, clearing and grubbing remove excess material and debris, strip and stockpile topsoil, borrow material from off-site source, rough grading, fine grading, spread back topsoil, planting of sod and shrubbery. Concrete and bituminous walks, driveways, curb. Catch basin, storm drain. BUILDING EXCAVATING AND BACKFILLING Bulk, trench and hand excavation for basements, footings, pits, backfill, prous fill. Hauling away excess material and bringing in borrow material. Dewatering drainage tiles. Sheeting and shoring for excavation and adjoining structures. CONCRETE Material and forms for footing, pile caps, beam, columns, slabs, erect, remove and clean forms and to assemble and place reinforcing bar, wire mesh, anchors, ties, sleeves, boxes and other inserts. Other items include fireproofing for steel construction joints and waterstops, expansion joints, insulation, and vapor barriers. Special requirements involve finishing floors, rubbing exposed columns and walls and curing and protection. Include also the equipment and labor for mixing, placing and vibrating the concrete. MASONRY Face brick, common brick, firebrick and flue linings, concrete block and backup block, structural clay tile, glazed structural units, glass brick, gypsum and concrete block partitions and floor and roof systems. Labor for parging, mixing mortar, cleaning and painting, and disturbing and placing masonry units. Accessories include inserts, anchors, ties and lintels of stone, concrete or metal scaffolding, hoist and mixer rentals are involved. CARPENTRY Roof trusses, framing for floors, wall and partitions, sheating and subflooring, furring and grounds, door and window framing, trim, paneling, siding, stairs, wood flooring, cabinets and architectural woodwork (millwork). Include nails, joist hangers, anchors and other hardware. STRUCTURAL METALS Columns, girders, beams, open web steel joist, metal decking, bearing and base plates, structural pipe, metal stairs, railing, shears studs, bolts and rivets. Include freight, trucking, handling and erection costs. INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL FINISHES Painting of wall, ceilings and trim; wallpapers and vinyl covering, asphalt, vinyl, vinyl-asbestos, cork and linoleum floor tiles, marble, slate and terrazzo wall, floor and base covering; wood, metal or gypsum lath covered with (gypsum or keenes) plaster; acoustical tile ceiling systems; ceramics and quarry tile. Include
