MARCH 2013

He is Risen
Jesus is alive and well! The tomb is empty! The empty tomb of Jesus Christ declares resurrection power that no other religion can offer. Christians dont just think of Jesus as a dead hero to be honored for His sacrifice, a dead teacher to be studied, or even a fine historical figure to be emulated. He is more than all those put together, He is the risen Son of God! Of all the miracles Jesus performed, victory over the grave is the most significant. This power to melt the chill of death and to bring everlasting light to the deepest darkness could only come from one who came forth victorious over the grave. Jesus did this; no other religious leader has demonstrated this power. He is the only one who walked out of the grave! That grave is empty today! We celebrate a risen Christ!

How YOU can pray for us:

He Rose so we Rise
Jesus Christ rose from the grave to save us from the bondage of sin and give us eternal life with Him. In return, He asks that we will rise to the occasion and share His word, His name, and His love to the world! God is calling Kelsey and I to declare Gods message of Salvation and new life to the thousands of students at UCF. Just as all of heaven rejoices, we rejoice when students receive a new life in Christ! A new message was given to humanity. The human story is no longer birth, life, death, punishment; but through Christ it has become birth, life, death and eternal life. The message of the Resurrection is that only through Christ are our bodies going to be transformed and glorified! His resurrection means that what is mortal becomes what is eternal.

FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIP:

Empowering the Next Generation

Jesus molded an empowering leadership style. He was never content for the disciples to simply follow Him as spectators but was intent on empowering them to do what He had been doing. He went so far as to say that they would do even greater works after He had gone back to the Father. Empowering college students is risky but necessary. The fear is that they will make mistakes in ministry. Of course they will. Didnt Peter? Didnt John? Didnt Paul? I know we have. As campus missionaries we will create environments where believers are encouraged to take risk and make mistakes in an effort to make disciples. In these kinds of environments, college students can learn from their mistakes, be equipped and fortified, and try again.
