Global warming; what is it, how are we doing it? The answer is we arent.

Global warming is a hoax, although the warming alarmists have the right idea. Our fossil fuels would be put to much better use making medicines, solvents or polymers than using them to drive the two minute drive to school or work in the morning. The global warming alarm has created some very valuable resources for us, human beings. We have harnessed wind and water power with windmills and tidal turbines. We have also advanced our civilization with inventions like the hybrid car that is mostly electric and better batteries that can hold a hundred times the amount of power as they used to be able to. Despite the recent focus on carbon dioxide the number one greenhouse gas causing atmospheric warming is water vapor. Water vapor makes up about ninety-five percent of greenhouse gases and of that ninety-five percent it has been estimated that less than 1 percent is caused by human activities. Is it time to close all the swimming pools and Laundromats? Carbon dioxide is an essential part of the food chain, without it plants will not grow and those organisms like us that rely on these plants to flourish will not. It is ridiculous that people believe that atmospheric warming is all our fault. Our impact on the amount of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere is so insignificant that even with the most costly of anti-greenhouse gas efforts we would make an almost unnoticeable impact. Global warming activism has become a big industry. The costs are borne by a few industrialized nations simply because they have the money. When John Dillinger was asked why he robbed banks he said because thats where the money is. The majority of the worlds population is not constrained by global warming related initiatives. Emerging nations such as China are rapidly increasing their use of fossil fuels for energy. They dont spend the amount of money that we do on environmental protection. So clearly North America isnt responsible for the majority of the insignificant amount of human generated greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Yet Al Gore has become a billionaire because he has made us feel guilty over things we have little control over. Weve done a good job of fighting forest fires, we harvest wood and build durable buildings with it thus preventing over-mature timber from simply falling down, rotting and contributing to the greenhouse gasses. We cant stop soil bacteria from doing its job of recycling organic matter and creating gasses such as methane but we could do more to protect the oceans which are important for sequestering carbon dioxide as coral and shell fish structures while producing the oxygen we need to survive.

If we really want to end global warming we should freeze all of the surface water on earth to reduce evaporation and we could all skate instead of drive where we want to go.
