Bernoullis theorem demonstration Objective: to demonstrate Bernoullis theorem 1.

All manometer tubings are being checked and properly connected to the corresponding pressure taps and air bubbles are removed. 2. The discharge valve is adjusted to a high measurable flow rate 3. After the level are being stabilized, the water flow rate is measured using volumetric method 4. Gently the hypodermic tube is being slided(total head measuring) was connected to manometer H so that its end reaches the cross section of the venture tube at A. After awhile, the reading is noted down from manometer A. the reading shown by manometer H is the sum of the static head and velocity heads, (total heads), because the hypodermic tube is held against the flow of fluid forcing it to stop. The pressure head reading in manometer A is measured because it is connected to the venture tube pressure tap. 5. Step 4 is being repeated for other cross sections (B, C, D, E, and F) 6. Step 3 to 5 is being repeated with 3 other decreasing flow rates by regulating the venturi discharge valve. 7. The velocity , Va is being calculated using the Bernoullis equation where )) VIB 8. The velocity VIC is being calculated using the continuity equation where, VIC = 9. The differences between 2 calculated velocities are being determined.
