Story TellingWhat is the learning from the story?

Once upon a time a man appeared in a village and announced that he would buy monkeys for 10/-. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys went out in the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands of monkeys at 10/- each and as supply began to diminish and villagers reduced their efforts, he announce that now he would buy each monkey at 25/-. This renewed the efforts of villagers and they started catching the monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate was increased to 50/- and the supply of monkeys became so acute that it was an effort to even see a monkey let alone catch it. The man announced that now he would buy monkeys at 100/-. However since he had go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers- Look at all these monkeys in the big cages that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at 50/- each and when the man comes back, you can resell to him for 100/-. The villagers queued up with all their savings to buy the monkeys. Phir na who aadmi tha na uska assistant sirf bander hi bander.
