Sustainable Urban Mobility campaign launches second call for applications

JOIN THE FIELD: Up to EUR 7,000 in funding is available for successful applicants. Photo: Mirjam Logonder The European Commission's Sustainable Urban Mobility campaign has launched a second call for applications to co-finance campaign initiatives taking place from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Applications for the second round of funding must be submitted before 12:00 (CET) on May 31, 2013. A committee of experts will select one winning action per country based on a set of evaluation and eligibility criteria. All applicants will be notified of the selection outcome in early July. Only local authorities and non-commercial enterprises such as NGOs, public bodies, schools, universities and research institutes are eligible to apply for up to EUR 7,000 of financial support. Please note that campaigners in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania and the UK are not eligible to apply, as these countries already receive targeted support for setting up national campaigns. Applying for funding is easy: go to http://dotherightmix.eu/action/about , create an account, register your awareness-raising action and tick the 'Apply HERE to get up to EUR 7000 of financial support!' box at the bottom of the form. You will then be asked to provide additional information regarding budget, planning and promotion of your initiative, and to describe any links with relevant EU initiatives and programmes in the field of transport and energy efficiency. You will also be required to upload digital scans of documents that allow verification of your organisation's legal status. For those campaigners short on funding but already looking beyond this year's Mobility Week, check out 'Do the Right Mix.' Keep in mind that only one initiative per country per call will be selected for funding; therefore you might consider approaching your respective national European Mobility Week coordinator to see how your ideas could fit into a larger campaign proposal. You can find a list of national coordinators here.
