Third Sunday of Easter

Living Faith in April: John 21:1-19 Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these? (Jn 21:15) Put yourself in the place of the apostles. Would you be able to be obedient to the command of the Sanhedrin to stop proclaiming the message of Jesus? If not, what would be the source of your courage? Jesus ministered to the disciples by cooking breakfast and breaking bread with them. Think of Christ-like people in your life. How do they minister to you? Jesus and God the Father are worshiped and praised by the heavenly host. Think of situations in your life that are worthy of your gratitude and praise. What are ways to show thankfulness to God and to others?

322 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Each time we look upon Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, He raises us up into deeper union with Himself, opens up the floodgates of His merciful love to the whole world, and brings us closer to the day of His final victory "where every knee will bend and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord". (Saint Francis of Assisi) Be sure to sign in at the desk if you are making a Holy Hour. For more information please call Judy at 330-212-0926. (Insert Graphic 2404-0062.tif) The last Coffee and Donuts of the season will be served Sunday, April 21 following the 8:00 and 10:30 Masses. Hosts will be Bob Pitz, Patti Day & Barb Vargo. My dear parishioners, As Lent began this year, we designated our Lenten Almsgiving to go towards the St. Vincent de Paul Society, in order to aid the poor within the Barberton and Norton boundaries of our Parish. We hoped to achieve a goal of $5,000. In a true testament to your care and sacrifice for the poor, we collected over $11,000. On behalf of Jack Lohan, St. Vincent de Paul President, our whole St. Vincent de Paul Society, myself as your pastor, and all those who will benefit from your generosity, thank you for making our Lenten Almsgiving project a smashing success. Christs Peace! Fr. David Majikas (Insert Graphic 2200-0010.tif) For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. The king will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. (Mt 25:31,35-36,40) On behalf of Rev. Tina Nees of Lakeview United Methodist Church, Karen McNeil of Springtime of Hope and all the volunteers: We would like to thank everyone who has donated items for Springtime of Hope.
