EXECUTIVE BOARD REQUIREMENTS Must attend weekly meetings. This must be a very high priority for you, especially when we are near event dates. If you miss a meeting for an unavoidable reason, you must alert the Executive Director or Assistant Directors and find out what we talked about on your own. Must be a motivated self-starter and work on your own projects continuously without being prompted. We will expect weekly updates on your progress at meetings. Must attend all major events. Class is the only excuse for missing a major event, but please be aware of the event dates and plan accordingly. Must assist any other members of the committee should the need arise Must conduct yourself in a professional manner. You will be setting the example for the general committee, interacting with industry professionals, and representing USC Concerts to everyone. Regardless of your schedule, you must complete your work in a timely fashion and be available to the committee. Be proactive. Continuously think of ways to improve what were doing, then implement them. Ask questions and get as involved as possible. This committee only works if everyone is working towards the same goal and is happy to be there, so if things arent going the way you want them to, change it. Its as much your committee as anyone else.

PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR The Public Relations Director is responsible for all on and off campus marketing. This includes, but is not limited to getting posters on all boards and kiosks, getting events mentioned in the Daily Trojan, and getting posters to RAs for dorms. The PR Director also works closely with the Social Media and Web Development Directors. Responsibilities Attend weekly Program Board PR meetings Be available to attend all Concerts Committee and Program Board PR events Reach out to student publications for coverage of events Organize dormstorming, poster-making, chalking, and flyering sessions

NOON TIME SHOW DIRECTOR The Noon Time Show Director is responsible for booking artists for shows at Tommy Trojan at noon. These take place monthly and from 12-1pm. This position is ideal for individuals who follow major music blogs and are up to date with the latest bands as well as enjoy discovering new local talent. Must work with scheduling and other USC departments to schedule space at Tommy Trojan for specific dates Must review all band demos and press kits we receive to filter through potential artists Compile and maintain artist lists, research availabilities, and contact information Create and administer student feedback surveys on concerts SPONSORSHIP AND VENDORS DIRECTOR The Sponsorship and Vendors Director is responsible for all fundraising and sponsorship for on and off campus sources, overseeing the logistical and monetary aspects. You must research and contact potential sponsors to pitch them on participating in our events. You must also reach out to local vendors to participate in major events. Must create Sponsorship and Vendor packet for every major event Find relevant and interesting companies, organizations, and people who will be able to help the committee in the future Reach out to campus representatives and ambassadors for potential sponsorship Reach out to all potential vendors, from student organizations to local businesses in order to secure sufficient number of vendors Must ensure all proper approval and paperwork is completed for each sponsor

SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR The Social Media Director is responsible for actively maintaining all aspects of online marketing and social networking for Concerts Committee including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. You must be familiar with all social networking platforms and create an online voice for Concerts Committee. Create Facebook events for all events and send out show reminders Interact with individuals on all platforms and keep the USC campus informed Think of new creative mediums through which we can advertise concerts to students Update the e-board on how many people your social media campaigns reach and evaluate which methods worked and which ones didnt Work with PR and Web Development Directors to coordinate all promotion HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR The Hospitality Director is responsible for getting all food trucks and rider requirements for artists. You will be in charge of all green room necessities on event days and responsible for catering. Must get all food vendors approved through USC Hospitality, which requires gathering all necessary permits and licenses Must go through Scheduling to secure all green rooms well in advance of shows Responsible for leading committee members scheduled as green room on event days Organize and lead runners or shopping trips prior to major events COMMITTEE DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR The Committee Development Director is responsible for maintaining the morale of the committee through inventive means. They will organize committee bonding events and fostering teamwork and friendship. Past events have included local LA concerts, beach bonfires, mixers, etc. Responsible for creating and maintaining a general committee Facebook group Create work schedules and assign shifts and duties for each shows Will oversee day-of duties for general committee volunteers and make sure everyone is aware of their responsibilities of their assigned position Responsible for recording and emailing out weekly minutes from meetings Maintain and update Concerts email listserv on regular basis Take attendance at meetings and keep track of member points Responsible for coordinating E-Board devo each semester Responsible for organizing E-Board and committee member internship discussions

WEB DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR The Web Development Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the Concerts Committee website. This director will work closely with the PR and Social Media Directors to keep the website updated. Ensure website outlines past and upcoming events, contact information, relevant announcements, etc. Responsible for all technology related needs of all e-board directors Interact with people on website if applicable GRAPHIC DESIGN DIRECTOR The Graphic Design Director is responsible for creating the graphics for Concerts Committee events such as flyers, online images, and promotional items. You will assist the publicity needs of the Concerts Committee. This director will work closely with the Web Development, Social Media, and PR Directors to ensure all work is transferred to the committees various platforms. Work with Program Board Graphic Designer on major events Create work that will define Concerts Committee and attract the student population Have work completed in a timely fashion and correct format Collaborate with other e-board members to ensure their vision is executed properly

Joining the Concerts Committee Executive Board is a significant time commitment, but an extremely rewarding endeavor. The harder you work in your position, the more you will get out of the experience. We are looking for individuals who will continue the success of this years E-Board and build upon it.
