Amarnath Yatra Package 2013

Amarnath Yatra is conducted every year in the month of June-July-August. In 2013, the Amarnath Yatra would be conducted from June 28 till 22nd August, 2013. We bring you a 3N/4D Amarnath yatra package with transfers by Helicopter, starting and ending at Srinagar. Amarnathji is one of the most holy pilgrimages of Hindus. Every devotee of Lord Shiva wants to go on this pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. Visiting Amarnathji and getting the holy 'darshans' of the Shiva Ice-lingam makes one feel at peace within, an experience which is hard to describe in words, can only be felt. The holy cave at Amarnath is the adobe of Lord Shiva. Amarnath Shrine is situated in a narrow gorge at the end of Lidder Valley. It is situated at the height of 3888 meters. Every year, the Shiva ice-lingam appears naturally in the month of June-July (the 'Shravan' month of Hindu calender) and then melts away after a month of so. Amarnath yatra is conducted every year by the Jammu & Kashmir Government. Earlier the yatra was done only 'on foot', but now the Government has started Helicopter service so that everyone who wishes to undertake the yatra can visit the holy shrine.

Day 01: Srinagar-Sonmarg 100 kms (4 hrs. drive)

On arrival at Srinagar (on your own) meet our representative. You shall be transferred to Sonmarg by car. check-in your booked Hotel/Swiss Camps. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at Sonmarg.

Day 02: Sonmarg-Baltal-Amarnathji Cave-Baltal-Srinagar

After early Breakfast, take a short drive of approx. 15 kms. for Baltal to board the Helicopter for Amarnath Darshan (Panjtarni is 12 km from Baltal by helicopter ride and we will reach there in approx. 7 minutes). After that we will proceed to Lord Shiva Cave (6 km from Panjtarni) by foot or pony ride (cost not included). After Darshan of Lord Shiva fly back to Baltal for onward drive to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Hotel/Houseboat at Srinagar.

Day 03 : Srinagar - sight-seeing

After Breakfast, start for the full-day Sringar sight-seeing tour. You shall be visiting the world famous Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Shankaracharya Temple. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel.

Day 04 : Departure from Sringar

After breakfast, at leisure till departure. Check-out from the houseboat/hotel. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
