Calendar This Week: Three services this Sunday, April 21. Grace will have a 9:15, 10:45 and 5 p.m. service this Sunday, and plan to hold three services each Sunday for the month of April. Jim Davis will be preaching from John 6:1-15. We will have a nursery for children in kindergarten and under at both services, and Sunday school classes for older children. Fellowship time on Sunday morning: In order to encourage more conversation and fellowship in the church, light breakfast foods and snacks will be provided in the lobby between the close of the first service and the beginning of the second service on Sunday. We want to encourage you to grab some food and coffee, find a friend, and enjoy good conversation on Sunday mornings. Youth Group will meet this Sunday, April 21, at 5:00 p.m. Contact Chris Teague for details at 662-816-4557. Youth Group Movie Night this Wednesday, April 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Upcoming Events: Oxford Food Pantry April is Graces month of maintaining and serving clients at our local food pantry. We are going to place an emphasis on meeting the needs of those with diabetes this month as we serve. The pantry has asked in particular items with low or no sugar, low sodium or no salt added, such as canned vegetables with low sodium or fruit with no added sugar. The Food Pantry will also need extra hands this Tuesday, April 2, as they are expecting an 8,000 lb. shipment at 1:30 p.m. Please sign up at the information counter to serve, or contact Linda Jansen for more information. lfjansen@att.net or 662-801-7325. High School Senior Recognition April 28. On Sunday, April 28, we plan to recognize our graduating high school seniors. We will recognize the seniors and their parents, pray for them, and give the graduates a gift. If you would like to participate in this service, please contact the church office. If youve never been baptized and would like to participate in this service, please contact the church office and we will get you in touch with one of our pastors. Baby Dedication May 12 (Mothers Day), Grace will hold a baby dedication at the 10:45 service. If you would like to dedicate your child that Sunday, please contact the church office. Opportunities to Serve Childrens Workers Needed: Our childrens ministry is growing at Grace Bible Church, and along with it our need for workers. We still need help in our childrens department on Sunday mornings, and as we schedule our workers in advance we know we are short for the months of April and May. If you would like to serve, contact Angela Davis at 662-816-9110, or fill out the tear-off tab and indicate which group of children youd like to work with and which time you can serve. Greeters & Ushers Needed: If you are interested in serving our church as a greeter or usher, please contact Kyle Ryan at 404-580-2656. Sound & Tech Crew Needed: We are in great need of people to help run the slides, video and soundboard on Sundays. No prior experience is necessary. Make A Note . . . Over the next several weeks, we will be compiling a Church Membership Directory. If you are a member of Grace, please come to the church office to have a quick photo taken and update your contact information. The photo will be an informal headshot only of each individual church member, so no need to dress your best. Please come during the following hours if possible: Mondays 8 12, Tuesdays 8 10, Wednesdays 1 5, Fridays 8 5. We are in the process of forming new community groups at Grace that will begin meeting this spring. If you are new to Grace and would like to be a part of a community group, contact Jim Davis, one of our pastors, at 662-816-9220. If youve been a part of a community group before and, for whatever reason, it didnt work out, please try a new group. The elders at Grace are convinced that all Christians need the fellowship, friendship, encouragement, and prayer that only involvement in a small group of believers can bring. If you have a child at Grace Bible, check out the Gospel Project app. The app corresponds with what your children are learning in Sunday school on Sunday mornings, so its a great way for you to stay plugged in and help your child continue to learn about their lesson throughout the week. Grace Bible Church has its own app for smart devices. You can download sermons, announcements, and other content through this app. Search the iTunes store for Grace Oxford. National Day of Prayer: Thursday, May 2 is our National Day of Prayer. All who are members of the Body of Christ are invited to gather at the courthouse on the square for prayer any time during the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Small Courtroom.
