He's t he "genius" (wit h a "Ph.D" f rom a Texas crackerbox t hat was f ined f or illegally issuing degrees, according t o World Net Daily!) t hat LaHaye et c. count on t o st if f -arm hist orian Dave MacPherson's f ast idiously accurat e research. (The lat e F. F. Bruce, world-class t heologian and encyclopedia cont ribut or who wrot e a glowing Foreword t o one of Dave's books, could f ind only one t ypo in it : an accident al list ing of somet hing like "Vol. I" inst ead of "Vol. II" on one page!) And his research of decades is highly endorsed (Google "Scholars Weigh My Research"). On t he ot her hand, Ice's rapt ure-rush-job research includes sloppiness - Google "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)" - as well as deviousness. In a 1990 art icle (in Dallas Seminary's journal Bibliot heca Sacra) on Margaret Macdonald, t he long covered up pret rib originat or, he quot ed up t o line 55 in her revelat ion explanat ion, deliberat ely skipped over her main point in lines 58-63 (where she saw "one t aken and t he ot her lef t " BEFORE t he "WICKED" [II Thess. 2:8] is "revealed" - phrases even Hal Lindsey views as "pret rib" in his books!), and resumed his ext ensive quot at ion in line 72! Ice has knowingly repeat ed t he same omission in lat er writ ings because he is aware of her (pret rib) part ial rapt urism (Google "X-Raying Margaret ") which cancels out his f alsehood t hat she was a post t rib - even t hough his f ormer ment or, t he lat e John Walvoord, st at ed in his books t hat part ial rapt urist s ARE pret ribs! Ice is just as devious wit h his Pseudo-Ephraem and Morgan Edwards claims (Google Dave's "Deceiving and Being Deceived") and lat ely - f earing neit her God nor man - has been claiming t o f ind pret rib rapt urism in MANY pre-1830 writ ers (who were act ually post t rib) simply because t hey used t he word "rapt ure" (as if pret rib has a monopoly on t his word!).

Even Walvoord could f ind only a t rio of ancient writ ers who seemed t o support pret rib, but t heir support was seemingly t he only kind of imminence Walvoord embraced - but was really no support at all since t he rest of t he quot at ion, which Walvoord chopped of f , was post t rib t hrough and t hrough! Bef ore anyone badmout hs Dave's research, he or she should see his best selling book "The Rapt ure Plot " (available f or a great price at Armageddon Books online) or at least borrow it cheaply via int er-library loan at any library. Or even more cheaply Google his unique art icles including "Famous Rapt ure Wat chers," "Pret rib Rapt ure Diehards," "Walvoord's Post t rib Variet ies - Plus," "Appendix F: Thou Shalt Not St eal," "Wily Jef f rey," "Thieves' Market ing," "The Unoriginal John Darby," "Pret rib Hypocrisy," "The Rapt ure Index (Mad Theology)," "Open Let t er t o Todd St randberg," "The Real Manuel Lacunza," and "Root s of (Warlike) Christ ian Zionism."
