TARGET TECHNICAL REVIEW FOR WEEK ENDED 12 APRIL 2013- USING ABC ANALYSIS The second quarter of the

year started on a promising note. Not all that bad for the bulls, although this week was a red week with a lot of losses. The results from the banks have starrted coming and they are not that bad. I have leant 2 vital lessons recently:

if a sector is performing well. The best strategy may be just to go for the best stock in the sector. With this you are likely to get in, make very quick gain and you can exit within a short period with good gain. Okomu Oil for the agric setor is a good example. that there may be a time you just have to get out of the market, don't be in stock. Stop trading/investing. This is a rule professionals apply. The banks have this rule for their trading activities. It is called value at Risk (VaR). The value at risk is the maimum loss a trader can have at a particular point in time. Once this level of loss is reached you have got to stop trading.

The above lesson is very important, especially number 2. I will suggested that once the stock market losses 30% of the highes value ( highest withing last 6 months), we need to run for cover. New investments should be put on hold The last portfolio was closed for a profit of 46% in 3 months. You can see the previos scridb publication for this. looking at the good sector- I see the insurance sector coming up again. Some stocks in the sector enjoyed some favourable price movement during the week. I have started a fresh portfolio with an assumed capital of NGN200,000 and sharing the funds between these 2 secuties: which 60% of the funds was used for FTN Cocoa Processors and the balance of 40% for NASCON.
