ABSTRACT:

Stock Analyzer is an software application which fulfills the requirement of a typical stock analysis in various Branches. It provides the interface to users in a graphical way to manage the daily transactions as well as historical data. Also provides the management reports like monthly inwards, monthly deliveries and monthly returns.
This application maintains the centralized database so that any changes done at a location reflects immediately. The aim of this application is to reduce the manual effort needed to manage transactions and historical data used in various Branches. Also this application provides an interface to users to view the details like the daily Stock Statements of all Branches.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this document is to present a detailed description of the Stock Analyzer tool. It will explain the purpose and features of the system ,the interfaces of the system, what the system will do, the constrains under which it must operate and how the system will react to external stimuli. This document is intended for both the stakeholders and the developers of the system.

SCOPE OF PROJECT: The main objective of the system is to provide database for an industry. This minimizes the work of the client who manually maintains the transactions that takes place daily. It provides user friendly interfaces to the user to maintain the data and retrieve as per his requirements. It maximizes the clients work efficiency that will meet the clients needs while remaining easy to understand and use. It generates daily report on the availability of the stock in warehouse. The system also contains a relational database. The system has the following features. The administrator is provided by a login and password for security to access-data. It provides interfaces so that administrator can take the new orders and to view the pending order to be delivered. It also manages the payment details.

It also maintains the workers details, supplier details and their payments. It also maintains the availability of the stock i.e., raw material in the branch.

The major functionality of the interface is classified into two categories. o Administrative User Functions. o Normal User Functions.

Administrative User Functions: Administrators can perform the following tasks:

Create new user accounts. Change the password. Add/Update the details of Employees of the Company. Add the information about the branches. Can view the information about the product Purchase Details. Can view the information about the product Delivery Details. Can view the information about the Feedbacks from users. Can view/generate management reports.

Normal User Functions: Normal users can perform the following tasks:
Change the password. View the details of Employees of the Company. View information of different Branches. Can add the information about the Product Details. Can add the information about the Product Received Details. Can add the information about the feedbacks. Can view management reports.

Problem Definition:
Current system is a manual one in which users are maintaining ledgers, books etc to store the information like suppliers details, inwards, deliveries and returns of items in all godowns, customer details as well as employee details. It is very difficult to maintain historical data. Also regular investments need to purchase stationary every year.

DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING MODULE:


The following are the disadvantages of current system

1. It is difficult to maintain important information in books 2. More manual hours need to generate required reports 3. It is tedious to manage historical data which needs much space to keep all the previous years ledgers, books etc 4. Daily transactions are to be entering into different books immediately to avoid conflicts which are very difficult.

Problem Solution:
Proposed system is a software application which avoids more manual hours that need to spend in record keeping and generating reports. This application keeps the data in a centralized way which is available to all the users simultaneously. It is very easy to manage historical data in database. No specific training is required for the employees to use this application. They can easily use the tool that decreases manual hours spending for normal things and hence increases

the performance. As the data is centralized, it is very easy to maintain the stocks of the various items in all godowns.
