Scene I: Calm Before the Storm, Estates General Lockout
(Enter Nobles, Clergy, and King Louis XVI)

Noble Man:(Whispering) Here we all shall meet again, after 175 years.

Clergy Man:(Whispering) Yes, our plan plan (to weaken the king's power) shall surely work.

Noble Man:(Whispering) Here comes the rest of the assembly now...

(Enter Third Estate)

King Louis XVI: I now bring this assembly to session. We shall proceed with the traditional
voting method of one vote per estate.

Peasant Mob: We demand that the tax exemptions of the clergy and nobility be ceased!

King Louis XVI: Order! Order! The estates shall meet separately to make their decisions!

Peasant Mob: We refuse your request! We should all meet together to decide the issue of
the economic crisis!

Noble Man: Surely you should abide by the king's demands.

Clergy Man: Now, don't do anything foolish or rash.

King Louis XVI: Silence! If the third estate can not follow my guidelines, then so help me
they are henceforth banished from the Estates General! Now leave us,
common folk!
Scene II: Beginning of the Violence, the Storming of Bastille
(Enter Rioter Group and Riot Leader)

Riot Leader:(Shouting) Today is a glorious day! Today we shall sack this prison and take what is
rightfully ours for the well of the people! Men, force down the
drawbridge and spare no traitors!

Rioter Group: Grrryah! For our benefactors!


(Charging/Shouting)

(Enter Guard)

Guard: (Whispering) Maybe if I let down the drawbridge, they will calm down...

(The guard lowers the drawbridge, followed by angry rioters screaming towards the guard and then
maiming the guard)
Scene III: Aftermath to the Outbreak, the Great Fear
(Enter Peasant Mob and Innocent Bystander)

Innocent Bystander: (Walk along the streets, close to the walls as the peasant mob breaks into
buildings zealously)

Peasant Mob: Look over there! She has a good portion of bread, get her!

(Rest of the mob drops what they are doing, and surrounds the innocent bystander)

Innocent Bystander: No! Please don't hurt me, I have children to feed!
(Screaming)

(The peasant mob robs the innocent bystander of her baked goods and then disperse)

Innocent Bystander: Why! Why must I suffer so much pain and agony!?
(Crying)
Scene VI: Liberation to the Corruption, the Declaration of the Rights
of Man
(Enter National Assembly, Olympe de Gouges)

National Assembly1: Here we men are on this day, August 26, 1789, to bring about a new
justice in the French society.

National Assembly2: Yes, the men's rights shall not be ignored no longer. The principles of man
guarantee life, liberty, property, security, and resistance to those who try
to oppress us.

National Assembly2: Don't forget the man's rights to speech, the press, to make laws, and have
access to the public offices.

National Assembly1: Sadly, Olympe de Gouges' request to include women in this bill will not
be fulfilled.
Scene V: The Caretaker's Brutality on the King, the March to
Versilles
(Enter King Louis XVI and Angry Mothers, who have surrounded the king)

Angry Mothers: Your in our hands now king in your own domain of Versilles, you must
accept our demands to reform the National Assembly or be destroyed at
our hands. We shall move you to Paris, to witness the demise of society
and pass our laws.
Scene VI: The Threat Abolished, the Trial and Death of a King
(Enter Girodins, Mountain, and King Louis XVI, who is being help captive by Mountain)

Girodins: Surely you don't want to kill the king, what will you do without him?

Mountain: We will fare better without him.

Girodins: What has the king done to deserve this?

Mountain: He has been working with foreign nations, trying to flee his own country!
We have haltered his plans, and want to put a stop to this traitorous fool!

Girodins: If that is so, then execute the king for being disloyal for conspiracy.

(The Mountain prepare King Louis in the Guillotine and then behead him)
Scene VI: The Nation that Kills Itself, the Reign of Terror
(Enter Soldiers, Peasant Mob, Rioter Group, and Rioter Leader, all held captive and ready for execution
as the soldiers prepare to commence)

Soldiers: Any last words, traitorous scum?

(Silence)

Soldiers: Then I hereby execute you all for treason against the revolutionary
republic.

(The peasant mob is guillotined, while the rioter group and leader are grapeshot.)
Scene VII: New Beginnings, Old Actions, Napoleon's Invasion of
Russia
(Enter Napoleon and Napoleon's General)

Napoleon: This city has also been burned, I fear that my men will not survive much
longer in such harsh winter conditions. Those Russians are stubborn.

Napoleon's General: Sir, no supplies have been found... all of it burned. Maybe it was unwise
to force the Russians into remaining in the Continental System.

Napoleon: At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if other nations attacked us at this


point. Alright, rally the troops and start the march home...
