Role: Event Photographers - Volunteer Ireland What's Involved? Photographing key events at this year's European Volunteer Centre (CEV) Conference, specifically the VIP speakers and the audience at the opening and closing events. The photos will be used for print and online media. We are looking for a candid shots of speakers and the delegates. Where: Citi Building, 1 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 When: one day a week for a certain period of time. Role: Librarian/Literacy Coordinator - St. Dominic's Secondary School What's Involved? To coordinate the loan/return of books from Reading Room at allocated times.To coordibnate a time table for the use of the Reading Room. To liase with staff and students re provision or purchase of books. To assist students who require support with their literacy. Where: Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 When: 2 hours per day. Ongoing commitment Role: Office Volunteer - Arthritis Ireland What's Involved? Main responsibilities: Phone calls to walking leaders recording attendance at walking groups. *Data entry and maintenance of database of accurate records of all walking groups and their participants. *General administration Where: Grand Canal Quay, D2 When: Half day a week, anytime during office hours except Wednesday Mornings Role: Maintenance Volunteer - St John's House, Camino Network What's Involved? We are based in a house that was donated to us two years ago in a bad state of repair. Although we have made good progress on the building work there is still a lot more to do. Parts of the ceilings need repair, skirting boards need to be fixed on and electric showers in all the bathrooms need to be installed Tasks: General maintenance - Skilled Labor Trades Maintenance *Repair *Electrical *Plumbing *Building Maintenance Where: Chapelizod, Dublin 20 When: 5 - 10 hours per week Role: Event Helpers - InRathmines What's Involved: InRathmines is a new community initiative for the Rathmines area. A number of community groups have come together to hold the InRathmines community day. The event is a chance for community groups from the area to come together and exhibit their work. *They are looking for a number of volunteers to help with holding directional signs and distributing flyers on the day. Where: Swan Centre, Rathmines, Dublin 6 When: A couple of hours on Saturday the 27th of April. The event is on from 12-5pm Role: Scout Leader - 45th Dublin Mount argus Scout Group What's Involved: Key areas of responsibility: *Working with a team of leaders, planning and preparing for weekly meetings and supplementary activities, outings and camps. * To operate and carry out those plans at the meeting and /or activity. * To undertake the necessary training provided and required by Scouting Ireland to facilitate the delivery of the Youth Programme to the youth members of the particular programme section (Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venture Scouts, Rover Scouts) *As a Leader, one volunteers to work with a specific section and age range. *Training and Programme Material Provided Where: Mount Argus, Dublin 6 When: As much as you would like from an hour a week upwards Role: Photographer/ Videographer and Musicians What's Involved: InRathmines is a new community initiative for the Rathmines area. A number of community groups have come together to hold the InRathmines community day. *They are looking for volunteers who can take pictures or make a short video of the event. They are also welcoming any musicians who would be interested in performing Where: Swan Centre, Rathmines, Dublin 6 When: Sat 27th April 12-5pm
