ASSIGNMENT QUESTION / SOALAN TUGASAN

Diiferent types of approaches can be employed by a teacher to teach specific concepts to students of varying abilities in a science classroom. Some of the available approaches include inductive and contextual strategy approach. (a) In about 2 -3 pages write an essay to explain what is meant by inductive and contextual strategy approaches to teaching science. [8 Marks] (b) You wish to teach your students the concept of momentum using the inductive approach. Plan out an experiment to teach this concept using inductive approach to a group of students. Interview at least 5-6 students about the suitability of the approach in enhancing students understanding of the concept. Write a report on the suitability of the approach based on students interview records. [12 Marks] (c) Search the internet on how to use contextual strategy approach for teaching the concept of energy. Use this approach to teach your students. Write a reflection of about 3-4 pages on the suitability of the teaching approach. [10 Marks] TOTAL:30 MARKS
