Treat ADHD naturally:

As latest research indicates that ADHD is both a biological condition and a condition brought by the environment, in order to understand what is ADHD a good theory is to look at history and the very early days of mankind. (An adaptation of the Hunter vs Farmer Theory). It seems during those early days the human population was consisting of hunter-gatherers and also farmers. Each had different dietary requirements, whereas the farmer had his crops and cattle, the hunter gatherers had fish, nuts, meat and whole assortment of fruits that they could gather. Whereas the farmer had to have a steady metabolism to be effective at his work, the hunter needed a varying metabolism: he needed a slow sluggish metabolism to conserve energy when he wasnt out, and he then needed a very fast paced metabolism during the hunt, especially the instance when they had to kill their prey. Now its clear why these two dont mix. Ive tried out all of the mentioned below and they work, using both my intelligence and intuition to deduce this. So now lets explore treatment methods: 1.) First Step Diet: It is clear that todays diets are no longer the old diet that our ancestor hunters had, this has effects in a huge degree of ways: firstly important brain building block chemicals are missing, secondly were being over-oxidized system leads to hyper-activity and lastly of course poor fat intake leads to all the slow brain functions of the ADHD brain. TAKE CONTROL NOW! No more coffee, fizz drinks or cola: The acidity in these drinks kills vital enzymes, hence your vitality is destroyed. Heres something I used to kill my 6 cup a day coffee addiction in an instance: I associated this coffee addiction with an old grey man with a 5 cigarettes in his mouth and using coffee just to survive, hows that for instance you can get rid of an addiction. Sure then each time I got the urge for an energy fix I replaced that with clean clear pure water. This is what I did in my head to make sure I drank water, first find the event that triggered a need for coffee or fizz drink in my case feeling tired, this was pictured as me in my boxers waking up, then obviously this picture is followed by coffee or cola, so what do I do: bring that picture up and immediately bring up the picture of cold water and deep breathing up did this for 10 times and very intensely. Result: I no longer reach for coffee, and only reach for fizz drinks on a few occasions part of behavioral conditioning in a reward system. Again find the image or stimulus in your mind that triggers you to go take a coffee, change that stimulus by triggering the event and placing the desired event in your minds eye immediately for 10x. No more smoking: realizing that smoking kills is not enough to stop you from doing it, smoking provides a source of stress release and identity for millions of people but it isnt the only thing that gives stress release, if you smoke the best things is to make an association of the cigarette with black ash in your lungs, if that doesnt motivate you, then you may need to start to love your body even if its out of shape right now, love it miracles will start to happen http://www.lifeenthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm (just when life couldnt get any more weirder) and of course a good stress release is green tea not the decaf tea (the chemicals used to remove the caffeine are bad enough), just organic green tea that gives you really a performance boost in anti-oxidants and the Theanine contained within has found to give positive effects on focus.

No more junk food: Its clear that this BS of modern diet doesnt give us any nutritional value and whats worse it damages us, excessive oxidization, no essential omega 3, no iron, no magnesium, no vitamin C , vulnerable to disease and infection and very stress prone. Being ADHD means you have a more sensitive and powerful brain. What you need is firstly a Good Quality multivitamin micellized vitamins are better. You basically need B Vitamins especially B5, B6, Tyrosine, Zinc, Iron, 5-HTP, Calcium, Magnesium and of Course DHA from Omega 3 Oil. Get Supplementation: Remember absorbility is key! Ive taken Omega 3 capsules and Omega 3 syrup, the difference is that the syrup had a stronger effect on my cognition.

Be Wary of what you eat: with pesticides and poisons making the way to our food, be sure to buy organic when you can, and of course heres a general rule Ive come to believe: if it doesnt rot or it looks too nice on the surface, its not natural. I see differences between locally grown apples and imported apples, a nice pretty red surface for the imported apple, most likely a pesticide laden surface to keep it that nice looking, whereas the local grown apples have brown spots here and there, telling me that the surface is good for bacteria is doing its job, indicating a richer surface.

Oxidization kills: Ive read lots on how oxidization contributes to old age, its the number one reason why we age! And thats why we need anti-oxidant protection, good anti-oxidants include Selenium and some vitamin C, Zinc and Magnesium. Our ADHD Brains are really demanding nutrition wise and since we lack the luxury of a normal prefrontal cortex protecting us from information overload, our brains have only one way to deal with this and that is to process it all, that of course leads to a whole host of problems and basically the brain slows down since it overloads. If theres sufficient oxidization protection and building blocks like Omega 3, Vit C and Magnesium then well be able to deal with all that information. Therefore you really need anti-oxidants, else your brain will go up in fire and you start getting hyper, a sense of continuous urgency and of course anxiety. Hydrate: Youll need between 2 liters 3 liters of water per day, a dehydrated mind is a lethargic mind, all fizzy drinks actually drain the body of water versus helping it restore it, sure the carbonated fizz feels refreshing but its effects are exactly the opposite on the body! To Summarize: You basically really need is brain building blocks: B Vitamins, Tyrosine, Zinc, Iron, 5-HTP, Calcium, Magnesium and of course DHA Omega 3. And of course a good multi-vitamin to cover the bases. 2.) Second Step: Stress/Worry Control: I found that continuous stress releases first and foremost a lot of cortisol and adrenaline. This continuous release of stress hormones exacerbates conditions like Acne, it causes wrinkles, your reproductive organs growth stunts (so does sex drive) and plus wellbeing sucks! RELAX NOW! Deep Breathing: Lie down on the floor with your back on the floor, from this position note how your breathing, it should be diaphragmatic breathing. Use the following technique called Ha breathing from the Hawaiian islands: Breath from your nose with your diaphragm, then breath out with a Ha sound through your mouth taking twice as long as it took you to breath in. Do this for 5-10 minutes and really deep and youll start feeling really fresh. Organic Green Tea: instead of reaching for Coke or a cigarette, drink some green tea, it will make you feel better.

Get Moving!: In my past I found naturally going out for a walk or a run helped me stave off depressing moods, what I found out in my later on research that starting the day with a long-distance run actually made me feel good the remainder of the day (if you cant manage a long-distance run try short at first then increase slowly), it seems that this type of exercise is a type of bodily meditation as you keep on the same pace for long periods of time. Classical Music: I find that working whilst listening to classical music, really calms me down and keeps me focused, for example when I tried to write this with trance in my ears I really didnt concentrate and

bounced off the computer, it seems classical music induces Alpha Waves in the brain and that helps with connecting stuff. So Well guess that the Mozart effect is really indeed real.

Guided Meditation with Theta Binaurals: During the middle of the day, a helping of meditation isnt bad at all in-fact necessary to keep yourself steady. I find that sites like Brain Sync and HemiSync offer good sources to get meditating, youll get yourself to meditate in 30 minutes flat just by calming down to the binaural beats incidentally follow up what binaural beats on this wiki: Binaural beats stimulate the brain to follow a certain rhythm, and that can be BETA as discussed above for concentration, ALPHA for the flow-state, THETA for deep relaxation and meditation and DELTA for deep sleep and repair. Do this scanning of body slowly from right to left, and vice-versa and repeat until the 15 minutes is over, youll feel relaxed. Smile!: Of course smiling doesnt solve problems but, it puts you in an empowering mood to solve them! (mind-physiology connection) Solfeggio Tones: Although its not scientifically proven trying these tones out has helped in stimulating neuron growth and has made my thinking clearer, I cant directly prove it but, pictures in my mind are clearer. I suggest writing down what you think and make decisions on whether to act or not, and anything you decide to act upon list it down where you can find it you can use the Life management System Ive attached as a good place to place your thoughts and actionable items. Once you do this, visualize your mind clearing up, either a huge eraser going back and forth in your head or just stare at a blank piece of paper and imagine your mind becoming that, you wont forget those items youll just let go of them. I know its difficult to let go of thoughts but these techniques should help you to do so. Summary: Deep Breathing 10minutes calms you down can be done anywhere Organic Green Tea - a source of instant relaxation Get Moving! - Besides your body needs way more exercise than a normal person Classical Music Helps with your brains stimulus needs and assists in doing work

Third Step: Productivity and Nailing those Projects!: The hardest thing probably having ADHD is completing things and staying focused on them, sure we learn fast but our minds cant stand boredom were so forward looking and active. Forcing ourselves is painful. So in my quest in solving this problem Ive learnt and devised ways to do so: CRANK IT HARD AND FOCUSED! Daily Planning with intention: At the end of each day I plan the next, the simplest form of planning is just making a list of to-dos. REMEMBER: SIMPLE To-Dos not BIG COLLOSAL PROJECTS! 3.) Intention triggers and attention grabbers: The most important thing one with ADHD is remembering that something needs to be done! What to do is the simple 6-a day formula to success, simply write down 6 important things that you need to accomplish on an index card as intentions, next is the secret of using your powerful imagination to some use besides day-dreaming: Visualize yourself doing those tasks, see yourself with as much detail as possible how youd like to be doing, at all the intensity you can color, brightness, flow and movement, feeling, touch, sound, voice and action. When you go to sleep the last thing you want to see is your intention card, the first thing in the morning is it also and carry it with you all times, make sure to feel it in your pocket and periodically read it, aloud is better! Dont give a damn about other people hearing you, remember they dont have your Strengths and Weaknesses, and its their problem if they cant stand someone acting abnormally. I find that the more I burn it in my head about these six things the more likely I am to accomplish them, in fact it could be something boring but hell, sometimes I ended up hyper-focusing on something considered boring. So visualize, visualize, visualize all the steps. Burn those images in your minds eye, and youll carry them out and the good thing youll even go multiple varied attempts at the thing if you fail it the first times. Life Management System: This is quite an advanced planning system which, but you should start considering employing one, it helps keeping you on track on long-term projects As attached, plus an explanation how to work it and by all means modify it as you find its appropriate. Timer Play: This may be your life-saver, have something boring like dishes or cleaning, set yourself up against the clock a digital one without the nagging tick-tock, I do 10 minutes for the dishes, 20 minutes to clean a room up and 30 minutes to study something, vary as it suites your needs, start stretching the time period longer and longer, youll be amazed at how this little devil works wonders! Learning: One important aspect is learning: To memorize things over and over is a pain, the best thing to do is to work with your brains strengths: Visual and Auditory. So what you do? You have a list to memorize: Create a visual picture for each item, then see in your mind creatively how each item changes to the next creatively whilst listening to their words spoken in your head, make it feel funny. Youll find you remember things way faster and easier than just mundanely saying the word as you read it. Eg: Car, Frisbee, Ear-rings, Crown, Planet, Clock, Bikini, Banana, Fan, Hair, Rings, Prism, Clown, Red, Cola, Text, Numbers, Spectacles. You have 1 minute to memorize it. So how do you remember all of them? Just reciting them wont hold much. Heres what you do:

You generate in your minds eye a picture for each item, then you see in your minds eye the pictures associate with each other creatively in a sequence and make it feel funny or entertaining, whilst reciting the words out. For Example heres the sequence I generated: Car, See Car tire it becomes into Frisbee which spins smaller into ear-rings, then see the ear-rings dangle from a queen, see her crown, the circle of the crown forms into a planet, which, then transforms into a clock, the clock holds a bikini on its tip, then the bikini is remove which, reveals a bunch of bananas, one of the bananas is peeled and forms a fan, which, blows some hair, the hairs splits and forms rings which, sparkle showing a prism of light, the colours of the prism mix and form a clown, the clown presses his red nose, the image zooms into the red and zooms out into a cola bottle, on the cola bottle some text is shown, in the text some numbers which, are read by spectacles. You see how much easier then its to remember the sequence now. This relates the most important communication for us: story. You make a visual story out of the sequence hence it becomes remembered. Story is the most important survival tool the human species was built with.

Deadlines: these can work to your favor if you relate to them as positive, the best thing is to think the deadline as a target date rather than a dead line. Binaural Beats: BETA Binaural beats, can make your brain stay shifted in normal gear to focus, its not natural but it helps in keeping you straight on.

Classical Music and Alpha Binaural Beats: These put you in a relaxed state of mind to focus and deal with work and of course make clear confident decisions. Seeing the connections to other projects: One big pain in the ass is closing a project up, this can be achieved by seeing the connection of this project to other projects, this helps you get over it. Extend projects: To finish a project a good method is to extend it, thats right actually add more to the end, typically where you start feeling like stopping for example I stall at the 85% marks so what do I do? I add 17% more to it, once I cross the previous 100% mark which, is now overall 85%, I stop and really just forgive myself for abandoning it, in actual reality Ive cheated my brain to go the previous 100% mark by dangling 17% of extra forward real improvements but which, of course dont really effect the bottom line. Ingenious solution! Find a completer: Seek relationships with steady people, who finish things that you start, not only theyll learn from your creativity, theyll enjoy finishing off the loose ends. A great business relationship for sure! Late?: Move all your clocks backwards by how late you are usually, forget that you set your clocks backwards and continue your daily habits. How to forget? Simply dont give this task importance treat it as boring as hell. Condition your behaviors: Reward yourself for a task completed with self-praise and a treat, if you fail SIMPLY LET IT GO. Summary: Plan Daily with real intention in mind.

Place intention triggers and attention grabbers, eg: tilt chairs to remind you of something place an image somewhere to remind your working on a certain project. Visualize the task/tasks being done. Use a life Management system to organize your life you cant organize your life internally BUT you can organize it externally! Play timers and beat the clock with the activity your doing. Learn boring lists via creative imagination. Set Deadlines to stretch yourself and view them as positive. Use a binaural beats to stimulate concentration. Classical music and Alpha binaurals put you in a confident relaxed focused state See the connections to the other projects so you can complete the current one. Extend the project by (100/x% - 100) so you can finish it to the former 100% mark Find a completer whos not creative and wholl gladly finish up your loose ends, in turn for your great ideas. Late fix by setting clocks backwards by how much usually your late and simply forget that your set the clocks. Condition yourself: Reward good behaviors and for tasks done with self praise and rewards, but dont shoot yourself in the foot when you slip!
