Who Is EMT-National-Training.com?

Taking the step to becoming an Emergency Medical Technician is not one taken

The directors, instructors, staff and consultants have, combined 60 years
experience in the emergency medical technician field. With a wide variety of experience
in different aspects of the emergency medical services, the people involved with the site

The newest member of the team is Dr. R. Scott French who has recently become
the sites Medical Director. Dr. French is active in several national professional
societies, and is serving on the EMS Physician Commission of Idaho. In addition, he
has been a highly sought after speaker at a variety of conferences and seminars on
EMS, Wilderness Medicine, and Air Ambulance Services. Dr. French has served as
Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies, and has been active in EMS in several
states. Dr. French is currently working on a new curriculum that will ensure that the
site’s content is up to date and accurate.
Ryan and Scott are both Paramedics and Firefighters involved with the site.
Ryan has been an EMT and Paramedic for 10 years. His teaching credentials include
certification for all levels of EMS, PHTLS, CPR and first aid. Additionally he leads or
assists in EMT instruction within five different EMS jurisdictions and colleges. Ryan is an
author on the site and is a great asset to EMT-National-Training.com. Scott has been
an EMT and Paramedic for 12 years. He works for a combination fire/EMS department
and is also a certified Firefighter II and Haz-Mat Technician. He has specialized in
handling radioactive emergencies and worked for several years as a contracted
Paramedic/Firefighter with the Department of Energy. He is a site consultant and also
writes for the site.
Adam, Terry, and Scott are all EMT-185 and EMT-Advanced certified. Adam is a
Firefighter/EMT-I for a busy fire and EMS system in the great northwest. Along with
being an EMT instructor he has been involved in aiding new EMT's and perfecting their
skills. Adam has been an EMT for 7 years and an EMT instructor for 4 years. Adam is
an author on the site and offers great insight. Terry has been a volunteer EMT for 6
years in a remote resort community. He has participated and led various back country
rescues in all kinds of weather conditions and terrains. Terry is a Certified Ropes
Rescue Technician and also a member of the Extrication Team. Scott has been a
volunteer EMT for 5 years. He likes to specialize in injuries that are caused by
recreational machines and equipment. He considers himself an expert on boat propeller
lacerations and injuries caused by snowmobile collisions. Scott doubles as a site
consultant and critic.
Travis is a volunteer EMT-I, Board Member and Training Officer for a private rural
agency that covers 1200 square miles of remote terrain. He has been a volunteer EMT
for 5 years and is involved in many aspects of EMS from extrication to mountain rescue.
Travis is the founder and webmaster of the site and keeps EMT-National-Training the
success it is today.
