IMPORTANT NOTES TO SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES 1. Scope of Work , Supply of Material, Technical Specifications, QAP, ITP( Inspection Test Plan) Requirement of relevant Codes , SCC( Special Conditions to Contract), GTC (General Terms & Conditions) , Schedule of Rates ,Statutory Rules & Guide Lines as applicable, Minimum Equipment / Machineries Deployment and any other requirement to complete the Job / Work as per this Tender Document shall be deemed to be included in SOR items. 2. For all Items preparation of Drawing as per relevant code & Tech. Specifications of this Tender & As advised by HPCL , Quality Control , Inspection & Job procedure, Project Scheduling & Monitoring Document as per SCC , Submission of all these documents to HPCL for approval deemed to included in quoted rates. 3. The Water and Electrical power required for constructional activity shall be in the Scope of Contractor & shall be deemed to be included in SOR Items. 4. All the Testing and Laboratory/Third Party Charges for Items as per tender documents elicited in various sections shall be borne by contractor and deemed to be included in quoted rates. 5. All Tools & Tackles, Equipments, and items brought to site by contractor will be permitted to be taken out only after completion of work & fulfillment of necessary formalities. The Entire Piling job should be carried out with sufficient number (Min. 3 Nos) of hydraulic self propelled piling rigs complete with casing Adaptor and Casing Oscillator only. 6. Rate for all items to include deployment of qualified Quality Control & Safety Engineer at site from the date of LOI till completion of job as per PO. QC Engineer & Safety Engineer deployed as per above will report to HPCL site-in-charge on daily basis for complying all the QC/safety jobs mentioned in the PO. 7. The Drawings/QAP/ITP /Job procedures attached along with tender document are for guidance/ tender purpose only. The successful bidder to submit the above for HPCL approval as per the job requirements during the execution of the job. 8. The testing of the piles shall also be carried out by the party in line with IS 2911-Part IV and relevant specification of this tender document within the quoted rates. No separate payment shall be made to the party on this account. 9. Entire Cement concrete job need to be carried out thru Ready mix concrete only. The scope of mix design is included in the scope of bidder and the same to be vetted by reputed engineering institute like IIT, Kharagpur or any other reputed Engineering Institutes/ Consultant duly approved by HPCL. Party has to submit vetted design calculations to EIC and obtain approval of the same before commencement of the job. RMC plants shall be of repute like ACC, L&T etc. Alternatively, party can also set up a batching plant at the site and make design mix as per provision including vetting by the reputed engineering institute like IIT, Kharagpur or any other reputed Engineering Institutes/ Consultant duly approved by HPCL. Party has to submit vetted design calculations to EIC and obtain approval of the HPCL before commencement of the job.The batching plant need to be certified by third party for robustness of performance and equipments associated with it.

CONSTRUCTION OF PILE FOUNDATIONS FOR ABOVE GROUND STORAGE TANKS AT BUDGE BUDGE - I TERMINAL ITEM NO DESCRIPTION OF ITEM UNIT QTY

BORED CAST-IN-SITU PILE FOUNDATION( M-25 GRADE RCC) Providing and casting of Bored cast-in-situ reinforced cement concrete piles with M 25 design mix as per relevant IS codes like IS: 456/IS:2911/ IS 10262 with a minimum cement content of not less than 400 kg/cum and a maximum water cement ratio of 0.45. The cement content shall be governed by Design mix or soil characteristics or approved design requirements, whichever is higher. Piling to be done as per IS-2911. The job includes boring up to required strata of the pile as per termination criteria as advised by HPCL based on soil investigation report and approved design requirements of the pile foundation. The diameter of the pile shall be as per approved design. The job also include collecting, conveying, loading, transportation of muck, clay, bentonite slurry and other fluid particles along with soil to an unobjectionable place outside the terminal premises and HPCL will not be responsible for any irregularities by the party regarding dumping of the earth/muck/mud/debris. In case of any default by the party regarding the above, HPCL will be forced to take necessary action suitably. Cement shall be Ordinary Portland Cement / Portland Puzzolaona cement of 43/53 grade conforming to IS: 8112/IS: 12269/IS: 1489. RCC shall be executed thru ready mix concrete from approved RMC Plants only like ACC, L&T, Lafarge, Ultratech etc. The Entire Piling job should be carried out with sufficient number of hydraulic self propelled piling rigs(Min. 3 nos) complete with casing Adaptor and Casing Oscillator only.

It is envisaged that 30% of the piles may encounter concrete bed with a thickness of around 1.2m which need to be broken enabling continuity of pile. Party to execute the job as per requirement. However dismantling shall be paid under item no.6.

The piling job to include providing temporary casing pipe as per requirement of the site , bentonite slurry mixing plant and circulation plant, including filling of the bore hole with bentonite, hire and installation charges

for all other tools, rigs & plants as necessary. The item is inclusive of all other sundry charges like oil, stores, testing equipments for routine load tests namely vertical (successive & cyclical), lateral and pullout on working piles and others as deemed necessary as per IS-2911 Part 4 and as per enclosed specifications and standard engineering practices & relevant latest IS codes etc, complete as per approved drawings & instruction from EIC. Rate quoted shall include conducting routine load tests on working piles as per relevant codal provisions and replacement & re-casting of additional piles in case of failure in the load tests. Load tests to be repeated in case of failure as above complete as per codal provision and as directed by EIC. The reinforcement along with Pile concrete will be terminated 600 mm above pile cutoff level. The total approximate depth of boring may be around 30 meters and actual depth shall be governed by soil investigation report. Supply and laying of reinforcement for piles shall be paid under item no. 4 for the final depth of piles. Payment will be made on actual quantity of concrete cast basis from termination strata to Cut-off level of the pile. Pile shall be terminated as per soil report/ design requirements/as advised by EIC. Rate to include casting of concrete of cast-in-situ piles 600 mm above the cut-off level as per the approved design drawings. This is included in the scope of this item and no additional payment will be made on this account. Rate to include chipping of concrete of cast-in-situ piles already cast to the correct lines and levels from the top of the piles to the cut-off level as indicated in the approved design drawings and exposing the reinforcing rods and disposal of the debris to an unobjectionable place outside the terminal premises. The exposed reinforcement shall be applied two coats of cement slurry as per the directions of EIC. No additional payment shall be made on account of the above. The pile shall protrude at least 75mm in to the pile cap and care to be taken to ensure the same while chipping the cast-in-situ pile Rate to include development length of reinforcement at pile top which is to be embedded in the pile cap where ever necessary. The quoted rate shall include all necessary testing of building materials, mobilization, demobilization, cleaning of the site etc complete and job to be completed in all respect as per attached technical specification and as per direction of EIC . The reinforcement for pile shall be Corrosion resistant steel and it shall be either TISCON CRS from TISCO or HSCR-M from Vizag Steel or HCR-M from SAIL only. The item is exclusive of the supply bending, erection of CRS steel. The same shall be paid in item no:4.

PCC(1:2:4)- Nominal Mix Supplying and laying 100 mm thick PCC 1:2:4 below pile caps, filling the interstices between piles, below beams and slab using 20 mm and down size crushed aggregate including providing shuttering for formwork, mixing, compacting by Vibrators, curing etc. complete for foundation beds of rafts, columns, pedestals and driveways etc. Cement shall preferably conform to IS 8112/IS12269 43 grade / 53 grade. Otherwise PPC conforming to IS-1489 may be used. Cement shall be Ultratech, ACC or approved make. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC.

RCC PILE CAP - M 25(Design Mix) Providing reinforced cement concrete M-25 design mix as per IS: 456/IS:2911/ IS 10262 with ready mix concrete with a minimum cement content of not less than 350 kg/cum and a maxm. water cement ratio of 0.45 using 20mm down size graded crushed granite aggregates including cost of centering, shuttering and all other charges for mixing, laying, consolidating and curing etc complete for pile caps as per approved drawings and as per standard specifications and as directed by Engineer In Charge. The cement content shall be governed by Design mix or soil characteristics or Design requirements of pile Foundations which ever is higher. Job also includes excavation to required depth for casting of pile cap and all other works required for completion of the job in all respect as per direction of EIC. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC. This item excludes the cost of supply and laying of reinforcement and the same will be paid under item no:4.0

REINFORCEMENT PILES, PILE CAPS Supply, fabrication and laying in position corrosion resistant steel reinforcement conforming to IS:1786 Fe 500 as per drawings including cutting, cold bending, tying and placing in position the rods, with necessary 20 SWG binding wire at every intersection including cost of binding wire and any other incidental charges etc., complete as per standard specification, welding at the lap of every reinforcement, spiral

reinforcement and spacer bar with main reinforcement and supported by adequate number of strong concrete cover blocks with tying wire complete for piling work and as per direction of EIC. The reinforcements shall be Corrosion resistant steel and it shall be either TISCON CRS from TISCO or HSCR-M from Vizag Steel or HCR-M from SAIL only. Laps, chairs and spacer bars shall be considered for measurement and payment. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC.

DISMANTLING OF CONCRETE Dismantling of RCC raft with machine drills to proper shape and size and depth as directed by EIC for construction of piles. Job includes excavation of soil upto the concrete surface, breaking the RCC into small pieces cutting the reinforcements as required .The drilling shall be done in such a way that the exact shape, size and depth is achieved to carry out foundation job. The job also covers loading, transportation and unloading all types of soils and other dismantled/excavated materials to a designated dumping area within Terminal premises and levelling using roller or dump outside to an unobjectionable area complete as per specifications and instructions of Engineer in Charge. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC.

SILVER SAND FILLING Supplying and filling approved quality locally available best quality river sand(silver sand) in layers of compacted thickness 200 mm each for land development as directed by EIC. Rate to include arranging for approved quarries /borrow pits outside Terminal premises, payment of all royalties, taxes, cess, etc to the Statutory Authority, loading, transportation, unloading, removal of debris, organic matter etc, spreading in layers, watering, rolling and compacting each layer till desired compaction is achieved and finishing to slopes and grades as per drawings specifications and instructions of Engineer In Charge. Job also to include testing for compaction in the field, one sample @ 300 sq m in every layer to achieve field compaction levels of 85 % relative density as per IS:2720 Part-XIV. Party to arrange for laboratory testing of river sand sample and seek approval of the same prior to commencement of job. Roller for the job shall be vibro compactor for entire layer and plate vibrator for localized patches. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC.

FIRE SCREEN

Design and erection of suitable fire screen up to 6 m height including supply of all materials like structural steel, GI sheet, bolts and other tools and tackles and labour. Design of the fire screen should be such that so as not to allow passing of light ray and should be structurally sound to withstand the wind loads in that area. Rate to include dismantling of fire screen and clearing the site / taking back after completion of the job. Rate to include all civil jobs for foundation or elsewhere required for erection of fire screen to ensure stability of the screens after obtaining necessary approval of EIC. Job also includes removal of complete foundation, leveling the area and Site cleaning shall be carried out by the contractor after the job is completed as directed by Engineer In-charge. Only 80% payment shall be released for design, supply and erection of Fire Screen and 20% Payment shall be released after the removal of fire screen including foundation, leveling and site cleaning after completion of all jobs. Rate to include the execution of the job as per latest codal provisions, attached Technical specifications and as directed by EIC.
