INTRODUCTION
This course has been designed to enable participants acquire skills and build competences in monitoring and evaluation of development projects. It is particularly helpful for those working on projects, managing resources and evaluating impact on stakeholders. Delegates for this course will learn how Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) allows continuous surveillance in order to assess the development projects impact on intended beneficiaries. They will also see how Monitoring and Evaluation involves stakeholders in measuring, recording, collecting, processing and communicating information to assist in decision-making, as well as assists in adjusting and redefining objectives, reorganizing institutional arrangements or re-allocating resources as necessary. This course will help delegates to understand a variety of approaches in Monitoring and Evaluation as well as acquire skills in Project Management. Participants will develop ability to facilitate PM&E, involve different groups, overcome barriers to participation, and acquire both knowledge and skills of applying various participatory tools in M&E.

Assess information or generate data on development activities being carried out at the local community level. Facilitate monitoring and evaluation by beneficiaries of different development activities.
